The Halo Infinite Stalker Rifle is one of a few old weapons that have been reinvented this time around, as it seems to meld elements of the Beam Rifle, Needle Rifle, and Covenant Carbine into one. Much like every weapon, new and old, in Halo Infinite, the Stalker Rifle has challenges associated with it that will help players climb through the ranks of the battle pass. It can be a hard weapon to use, especially compared to its UNSC and Banished adjacents, but this guide should help you master the Halo Infinite Stalker Rifle in online matchmaking.

The Stalker Rifle is a long-ranged sniper rifle that comes with a variable zoom and is battery operated, meaning it doesn't require reloading, but it can overheat and will require venting after seven shots in quick succession. It's almost useless at close range because of the slow fire-rate, but it does have a very accurate no-scope shot.

It takes three headshots to drop a fully shielded Spartan, and five successive body shots for a kill. Its high power makes it very effective at holding choke points and popping shots at enemies for allies to clean up, though if you are accurate enough you can get two kills before having to vent. This makes it ideal on Big Team Battle, and a little less effective on 4v4 modes, but with good teamwork its weaknesses can be made up for.

As a power weapon, the Stalker Rifle is found in wall containers on most maps that are on the larger side, with it absent on many smaller arena-based maps. It's also mostly present in the vertical areas that overlook sections of any maps.

The Stalker Rifle, like many Halo Infinite weapons, has challenges that ask players to get kills with the weapon, with it scaling from one kill, to five, and then to ten. If you are accurate enough, it shouldn't be too hard due to the weapon's high-power output. However, an easy way to finish this challenge is on the Big Team Battle mode, where you can access higher ground and just watch particular hotspots for enemies to take shots at. Alternatively, players can do the challenge on the Bot Bootcamp mode if it's a struggle in regular matchmaking.
