Halo Infinite Season 2: Release Date And Time
Halo Infinite Season 1 was launched all the way back in November of last year, before the game even officially launched on December 8. It has been a long and sometimes frustrating wait as players felt let down by 343 Industries, there has been little in the way of content since December, barring a much-maligned event, and all claims that the game would be a live-service title a la Fortnite or Apex Legends took on an infinitely meme-able quality.
But true Spartans have nothing but belief, and news that Halo Infinite Season 2 is nearing release is reason to be optimistic about the game's future. So, we won't leave you waiting any longer. Halo Infinite Season 2 "Lone Wolves" is set for release on Tuesday, May 3.
Roll out times will likely be staggered based on region and we will be sure to update this with all the information as it becomes available. The season is expected to last three months.
Halo Infinite Season 2: Trailer
A teaser trailer has dropped for Halo Infinite Season 2 and while it doesn't offer up much in the way of information it calls for players to "Join The Hunt". What we do see so is pretty cool, new armour cosmetics, and a look at the new Big Team Battle map Breaker.
Those hoping for Halo Infinite co-op will be left wanting though, as the campaign co-op mode, hugely popular within the playerbase, will not be released until sometime during the life of Season 2. Lovers of Forge will also be waiting, which isn't expected until Season 3.
Halo Infinite Season 2: New Maps
Speaking of new maps, there are two new additions. First up is Catalyst, a new Arena map that will be added to multiple playlists and the other, the aforementioned Breaker, which is a Big Team Battle map that can be cut in two with the use of a huge laser.
Both maps are expected to be in the game from the game at the outset of Halo Infinite Season 2.
- These two new maps will join the ten Halo Infinite maps already in the game.
Halo Infinite Season 2: Battle Pass
Little information has been revealed about the Halo Infinite Season 2 battle pass in terms of content but much has been changed around it to make it a better experience. For example, the Season 2 free track will have more customisable content, something sorely lacking from Season 1, while players will also be able to earn the cost of the (1000 CR) battle pass back, effectively making it "free" for grinders. There will also be more rewarding weekly challenges and ultimate rewards. All of that will be music to the ears of those that had to go through Season 1.
