Halo Infinite Heatwave: What Is It And Where Can It Be Found?
Click to enlargeThe Heatwave is one of the new Forerunner weapons that is based on an older weapon that was unveiled in Halo 4. It acts similar to a shotgun, and launches six projectiles at once that ricochet around and penetrate targets. Once you fire the weapon, things can get mad, as the ricochet causes the projectiles to bounce around wildly multiple times. They don't track enemies very well, so it can be up to luck sometimes if the projectiles lands, but in smaller environments it can wipe your opponents with ease. Plus, as an energy weapon, it's not very kind to shields.
The default fire mode of the weapon is a horizontal line of projectiles, however the alternative fire will switch it to a vertical line instead, giving you different ways of approaching situations depending on the range, environment, or amount of enemies. It can drop a Spartan in two shots easily, and in the tighter spaces you'll be a force to be reckoned with.
As a power weapon, you'll have to locate it on the maps at its spawn point, which often tends to be in the middle areas where enemies will frequently contest for it. It's also frequently in the lower areas like tunnels or closed-in sections, because in the open it can be next to useless in even the best players hands. For example, in the underpass of Live Fire it can be found centrally on a wall, which is a frequent area players use to rotate across the map.

Halo Infinite Heatwave: How To Get A Kill
Click to enlargeThe challenge in Halo Infinite for the Heatwave asks the player to simply get a kill with the weapon. It's one of the easier ones to do, thanks to the relatively straightforward nature of the gun, but if you need any help it's best to do so in a 4v4 Slayer on one of the game's smallest maps. It's also much easier to do in the Bot Bootcamp game mode, though this may not be a valid way forever.
