Halo Infinite Cindershot: What Is It And Where Can It Be Found?
The Cindershot is a piece of Forerunner technology, meaning in Halo lore it's an ancient weapon from an old race that preceded humanity and even the Covenant. It functions like an analogue to the grenade launcher, shooting energy-based plasma grenades. The grenades also bounce on surfaces, meaning it's great for shooting round corners into tight spaces to destroy the opposition.
It also has an alternative fire mode that uses laser guided missiles, meaning they'll follow your mouse, allowing for more precision. It's important to note even in this alt fire mode, the missiles can still bounce on surfaces. These features make it one of the most powerful weapons in the game when used by the right person, as two direct shots can kill and a few that land nearby is more than enough to drop any Spartan.
As it's a power weapon, it often spawns in centrally contested positions on maps, such as Streets, where it's incredibly effective on the Oddball mode. It's much more difficult to acquire on the bigger maps in Big Team Battle, due to more enemies and even friendlies contesting it. Therefore, your best bet at finding it is on the smaller maps.

Halo Infinite Cindershot: How To Get A Kill
The challenge for the Cindershot involves getting one kill with the weapon on any matchmade map or gamemode. It's much easier to do on smaller maps, as from range, the weapon's arc is quite short and moves slow. Meaning it's better for use with tight corners and smaller rooms where splash damage can hurt an enemy more.
You should now be all ready to utilise the Cindershot to full effect in the multiplayer. It's a big help toward getting the Halo Infinite Mythic Medal, which you can check our guide if you need help with.
