The Guardians of the Galaxy pay fine options stem from as early as Chapter 2 of the game. After being caught by the Nova Corp escaping the Quarantine Zone, the Guardians are fined for their cargo. Just how much you are fined depends on what choice you make in the Guardians of the Galaxy llama or tech dilemma. Depending on your choice you will then be fined either 7000 or 8000 units, of which you need to pay off in just three cycles.

You will earn your money for the Guardians of the Galaxy pay fine story strand thanks to Lady Hellbender in Chapter 4. Much like the llama choice, depending on how you play your Guardians of the Galaxy sell Rocket or Groot choice, you can walk away with either 9537 units, or 12,000 units. That’s a lot of cheddar, and also leaves some room for when you eventually arrive at the Knowhere market.

Here however, there are plenty of options to spend your money. Whether it is the Guardians of the Galaxy lottery ticket or the expensive Collector’s Emporium, you can easily spend the entirety of your funds made from Lady Hellbender. However, if you wish to pay the Guardians fine, you may want to hold onto your cash.

You will finally be given the opportunity to finalise your Guardians of the Galaxy pay fine choice in Chapter 9. Here, you're trying to garner the attention of the Nova Corp Worldmind. You can register in the Nova Corp, try and request active Nova Corp agents or report crimes. However, the only way to get the attention of the Nova Corp is by selecting Criminal Offences, then Past Crimes and finally Pay A Fine.

This will launch a cutscene with the Worldmind, however once complete you will be given the option to complete the Guardians of the Galaxy pay fine story thread. If you still have the cash at this point, paying the fine will rid your ship (The Milano) of a disabler, which will turn off power if the Guardians' fine hasn’t been paid. Paying the fine does unlock the “Galactic Frugality” trophy for those looking to 100% the game.

Deciding not to finalise the Guardians of the Galaxy pay fine story thread doesn’t actually have any massive effect on your story. By deciding not to pay the Guardians fine, the end credit scene will be slightly different. In it the gang bicker over where the Guardians of the Galaxy Nikki character will be sleeping on board the Milano when the power is cut.

Since you didn’t pay your Guardians of the Galaxy fine the disabler aboard the Milano was detonated, leaving the Guardians stuck in space without power. Whether this will affect any potential sequel is still to be determined, but

Now you know everything about the Guardians of the Galaxy pay fine choice. How about some tips on a hidden encounter? Here's our guide to the Guardians of the Galaxy Lipless encounter.
