GTA Trilogy Switch: Is The Remaster Coming To Switch?
A GTA Trilogy Switch release would bring the iconic series to a portable platform for the first time. Even better is that it would receive the visual bumps the older Grand Theft Auto games sorely needed thanks to the remastered Definitive Edition. However, as platforms such as Xbox and PlayStation boast 4K and 60fps, will we even get a GTA Trilogy Switch release? We’ve got everything you need to know about the GTA Trilogy on Switch.
GTA Trilogy Switch: Is the GTA Trilogy Coming To Nintendo Switch?
The Nintendo Switch has brought infamous franchises such as The Witcher and Doom to the platform, allowing players to experience them on the go. As such, players have gotten hopeful that a GTA Trilogy Switch release could be on the cards. Thankfully, that is the case and GTA Trilogy Switch edition will be launching at the same time as other platforms on November 11, 2021.
The GTA Trilogy Switch version will be an excellent way to play Rockstar’s PS2 classics. Additionally, if you wish to pick up the GTA Trilogy Switch edition physically, it will launch just under a month later on December 7.
GTA Trilogy Switch: How Much Will The GTA Trilogy Cost On Switch?
GTA Trilogy Switch will set players back a fair amount, but luckily not quite as much as on consoles for UK players. While PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will run the GTA Trilogy at 4K and 60fps, that sadly isn’t the case for GTA Trilogy Switch. As a result, the GTA Trilogy on Nintendo Switch will come in at £49.99/ $59.99.
This is a small discount over the console UK price of £54.99, but remains the same for US players. It is rather expensive, but given the typical pricing for Nintendo Switch games, it doesn't come as much of a surprise.
GTA Trilogy Switch: GTA Trilogy Will Have Exclusive Features On Switch
While playing games like GTA 3, San Andreas and Vice City on the go, is reason enough to pick up this remaster, additional motion controls amplify the experience even more. Thanks to the Gyro controls on the Joy Cons, GTA Trilogy Switch will allow you to aim through motion in both handheld and docked mode. Additionally, it will feature touch screen features, so players can zoom in and pan while using the camera and use the menus.
Now that you know you can pick up the GTA Trilogy Switch edition, why not check out whether we’ll be getting a GTA Trilogy Game Pass release date.
