We are entering the latter half of Chapter 2 - Season 4. The war to save reality has kicked into full force. Galactus threatens the universe and our Fortnite champions have recruited the help of Marvel superheroes (and villains) such as the Silver Surfer, Doctor Doom, and Spider-Man. Together, they must defend reality at all costs.

The new season brings with it new locations, weapons/items, cosmetics, and of course, challenges. Completing challenges throughout the season is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass. Some players love the activity of challenge hunting. For others, it may feel like a chore. Regardless, they are a necessity for those looking to earn all of the exclusive rewards.

Challenges were actually nerfed this season. Standard challenges now offer 25,000 XP and the Party Assist challenge grants 50,000 XP. Compare this to last season where standard challenges gave 35,000 XP, and the Party Assist challenges offered a massive 80,000 XP. This means completing all of the challenges is even more pertinent this season. Players that still need to catch up should check out our Week 5 Challenge Guide.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 6 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Search Chests at Weeping Woods (7) - 25,000 XP

The weekly chest searching challenge takes players to Weeping Woods. Players must search seven chests within the POI.

Weeping Woods is perhaps the largest POI on the map. Unlike other POIs, the chests at Weeping Woods are not condensed in one area. The location is littered with small cabins, campsites, parking lots, a gas station, and more. Due to this, chests are available in small doses throughout Weeping Woods. Stay alert though, as Weeping Woods is home to Wolverine and his powerful Mythic items.

As with most challenges, players should hop into either the Solos playlist or Team Rumble. As soon as the game begins, hot-drop into Weeping Woods. Look around at where enemy players are landing and try to target an uncontested cabin. Quickly search the chests inside and make your way to the next building or campsite, etc. Once all of Weeping Woods has been cleared, leave the match. This will save your progress but also your time. Start up another match and repeat the process. This is the quickest method of searching for seven chests.

Players not interested in all of the extra steps should save this challenge for last. It will be much easier to find seven uncontested chests later in the week once the competition for challenges has died down.

Eliminations at Misty Meadows (3) - 25,000 XP

Unlike the above challenge, this is one of those challenges players should aim to tackle right away. Players will need to eliminate three opponents at Misty Meadows.

The easiest way to complete this challenge is to hot-drop into Misty Meadows. Enemy players will be under-looted, unshielded, and not prepared for a fight. Take advantage of this. Grab a gun and immediately jump into action. Follow the sound of gunfire and enemy movement. Look for third-party opportunities where you can take out two distracted players at once.

The sooner players attempt this challenge, the better. Everyone will crowd Misty Meadows right after the new challenges drop. More players mean more chances for eliminations.

Collect Stone from Coral Castle (300) - 25,000 XP

Take a break from the looting and fighting with an easy gathering challenge. Players must collect 300 stone material within the confines of Coral Castle.

Coral Castle was introduced as a POI late in Chapter 2 - Season 3. The Week 5 challenges had players collect four floating rings around Coral Castle. If you’re behind on challenges, this is a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.

Players should have no difficulty finding stone for this challenge. The castle structures, the walkways, and of course the rocks, all provide stone material when hit with a pickaxe. There is no shortage of stone at Coral Castle. Travel to Aquaman’s lair and get to choppin’.

Consume a Legendary fish (1) - 25,000 XP

Chapter 2 introduced fishing into the world of Fortnite. Players can use fishing rods to retrieve different kinds of fish from the water. These fish offer different benefits such as health and shield boosts. Season 4 brought forth an array of new fish. Of those fish, we have three of the Legendary variety. Players must consume one of these Legendary fish to complete this challenge.

The three types of Legendary fish are the Midas Flopper, the Vendetta Fish, and the Thermal Fish. The first two are extremely rare, estimated to have a 1% drop rate. However, the Thermal Fish is a bit more common.

For this challenge, players will want to enter Team Rumble. Here, you can fish carefree without worrying about getting griefed and permanently eliminated. Land at one of the fishing shacks or docks located throughout the map. Search the barrels for a Fishing Rod. Ideally, you’ll stumble upon a Pro Fishing Rod. This will give you the best chance at finding a Legendary fish.

From here, it’s all up to RNG. The tips above will make things easier, but there’s no real shortcut to this challenge. Just keep fishing and hope that luck is on your side.

Consume Foraged Items at Holly Hedges (5) - 25,000 XP

Foraged items such as Apples, Coconuts, and Mushrooms can be found throughout the Fortnite map. Players must consume five foraged items at Holly Hedges.

In the backyards of Holly Hedges, grows the Cabbage foraged item. Dozens of Cabbages can be found in the yards behind different houses in Holly Hedges.

It’s important to note that Cabbages can not be consumed while the player is at full health. Each Cabbage heals 10 HP, so players will need to take damage if they want to complete this challenge. Before entering a Cabbage patch, build a couple of stories up and leap off. This will deal a small amount of damage but won’t eliminate you. Use the Cabbages to heal up. The challenge will compete once five have been consumed.

Ride a Zipline from Retail Row to Steamy Stacks (1) - 25,000 XP

Along the eastern side of the map, there is a massive series of Zipline towers. The Zipline towers span from Steamy Stacks to the snowy mountainous region in the south. Players must ride a Zipline from Steamy Stacks to Retail Row.

First, land on or climb up to the northernmost Zipline tower near Steamy Stacks. From there, just keep riding the Zipline down all the way to Retail. You’ll get a notification that the challenge is complete once you’ve travelled far enough.

Deal damage after knocking an opponent back with Black Panther’s Kinetic Shockwave (1000) - 50,000 XP

This week’s Party Assist challenge requires players to make use of Black Panther’s Mythic ability — Kinetic Shockwave.

Marvel’s iconic Black Panther takes on a major role in Chapter 2 - Season 4. Along with his very own POI, Black Panther wields the power of the Kinetic Shockwave. Kinetic Shockwave is one of 12 signature Mythic abilities in Chapter 2 - Season 4. When used, Kinetic Shockwave will absorb 50% of incoming damage and then blast it back in the area surrounding the player.

For this challenge, players will need to deal 1,000 damage to opponents AFTER they have been knocked back by the Kinetic Shockwave ability. This is a Party Assist challenge, meaning everyone on your team will progress the challenge together.

This challenge is best completed in the Marvel Takeover LTM. Jump in and hunt down Black Panther’s Kinetic Shockwave. From there, blast back as many opponents as possible and immediately switch to another Mythic ability to deal damage. Working in unison with a squad can make those damage numbers fly up. Dealing 1,000 damage looks intimidating at first, but it can easily be done in one match.

Deal damage to opponents at Slurpy Swamp (500) - 25,000 XP

The week ends with another “deal damage” challenge. This time, players must deal 500 total damage at Slurpy Swamp.

Similar to the elimination challenges, players should look to complete this one as early in the week as possible. Slurpy Swamp is a popular landing spot, but there will be more players than ever the day this challenge drops. Use the mayhem to your advantage. Grab a weapon and hunt down some prey. Players may choose to jump right into the action or take potshots from a distance—either way, dish out as much damage as possible while everyone’s busy looting. Dealing 500 damage equates to five unshielded players or two fully shielded players and one unshielded player.
