We are halfway through the Fortnite x Marvel crossover season. The war to save reality is underway. Galactus threatens the universe and our Fortnite champions have recruited the help of Marvel superheroes (and villains) such as the Silver Surfer, Doctor Doom, and Spider-Man. Together, they must defend reality at all costs.

The new season brings with it new locations, weapons/items, cosmetics, and of course, challenges. Completing challenges throughout the season is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass. Some players love the activity of challenge hunting. For others, it may feel like a chore. Regardless, they are a necessity for those looking to earn all of the exclusive rewards.

Challenges were actually nerfed this season. Standard challenges now offer 25,000 XP and the Party Assist challenge grants 50,000 XP. Compare this to last season where standard challenges gave 35,000 XP, and the Party Assist challenges offered a massive 80,000 XP. This means completing all of the challenges is even more pertinent this season. Players that still need to catch up should check out our Week 4 Challenge Guide.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 5 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Search Chests at Doom’s Domain (7) - 25,000 XP

The fifth week of challenges starts off at Doom’s Domain. Players must search seven chests at Doctor Doom’s POI.

Thankfully for challenge seekers, Doom’s Domain is not near as active as it once was. At the beginning of the season, Doom’s Domain was debatably the hottest spot on the map. Nowadays, the lust has worn off, and players have other new locations like Stark Industries to visit.

Players should hop into Solos or Team Rumble and head to Doom’s Domain immediately. Target an uncontested house and quickly loot as many chests as you can find. Rotate to the next house and repeat. Once it seems like all chests have been looted, leave the match. This will save your progress but also your time. Jump right into another match and go at it again. Players should have no trouble searching seven chests after a few matches.

If you aren’t one for mayhem, save this challenge for last. It will be much easier to complete later in the week once things have died down.

Eliminations at Dirty Docks (3) - 25,000 XP

Contrary to the challenge above, players should aim to get this one out of the way ASAP. Dirty Docks is one of the more remote POIs on the map. Due to this, you won’t find too many players wandering about there.

It’s best to go for this challenge first thing in the week. Tons of other players will be going for the same challenges. This means there will be plenty of opportunities to pick up eliminations.

Start up Team Rumble and drop down into Dirty Docks. Loot as quickly as possible and head toward enemy players. Don’t hesitate to start gunfights. There’s no penalty for dying, as you can just drop right back down into Dirty Docks again. From here, it’s rinse and repeat. Take out three enemy players, and the challenge will complete.

Drive a car from Slurpy Swamps to Catty Corner in less than four minutes without getting out (1) - 25,000 XP

This is another one of those random, unique challenges. Players are tasked with driving a car from Slurpy Swamps to Catty Corner in just four minutes and without ever exiting the vehicle.

First things first; players need to get their hands on a car. Land at Slurpy Swamps and search the various lots for a car. You should be able to find one fairly easily with decent RNG. From there, the rest of the challenge is actually quite easy.

Catty Corner is a straight shot down the road east out of Slurpy Swamps. Take the first right, and then it’s smooth sailing to Catty Corner. You’ll pass through some hot zones like Misty Meadows on the way. Just keep driving full speed and don’t take any detours.

Absent some bizarre catastrophe, players should have no issues getting to Catty Corner in less than four minutes and plenty of gas still in the tank.

Collect Floating Rings at Coral Castle (1) - 25,000 XP

By now, most Fortnite players are familiar with this type of challenge. Players must collect floating blue rings hidden around the Coral Castle POI.

Coral Castle is the home of Aquaman. The POI was introduced toward the end of last season. There are four rings total placed around the location.

The first ring can be found above a small golden-topped tower in the far south of Coral Castle. Rings two and three have been placed on top of the two tallest buildings in the centre of the POI. The final ring is on another short tower at the north most point of Coral Castle.

For the visual learners, the video below depicts all four rings and their exact locations.

In a vehicle, jump through the flaming ring at Salty Springs (1) - 25,000 XP

Another vehicle-based challenge. This time, players must jump the vehicle through a flaming ring at the Salty Springs POI.

Just like the other challenge, the hardest part is finding a vehicle. However, this challenge can be completed with ANY vehicle, including a boat or Choppa. Salty Springs has a chance to spawn cars, but it’s somewhat of a rare occurrence. Consider landing at an outside location like Doom’s Domain or Holly Hedges to grab a car and then head to Salty.

Just south of town, there is a wooden ramp on a hill beside a flaming ring. Players need to launch their vehicles off of the ramp and through the flaming ring. Most vehicles will be able to make this jump easy. Try to avoid trucks, as they may have difficulty gaining enough speed to make the leap. Stay clear of enemy players, and this challenge is a breeze.

Make a Stark Robot dance (1) - 25,000 XP

Stark Robots can be found at any Quinjet Patrol Site, as well as Stark Industries. Players will need to make one of them dance to complete this challenge. This challenge is not exactly self-explanatory, so here’s what you’ll need to do.

Visit one of the locations home to Stark Robots. Pick one, and down them. DON’T eliminate them, or you’ll need to find another Stark Robot. While it’s down, interact with the Stark Robot to hack it. Now, the robot is on your side and will fight with you, and even dance. Perform any emote in your repertoire. The Stark Robot will perform their own dance in an attempt to mimic you. Just like that, this challenge is done.

Destroy Gorgers (1) - 50,000 XP

The evil villain Galactus is closing in on the Fortnite planet. He has sent his powerful robotic drones to wreak havoc in the meantime. Last week, players had to destroy 20 Gatherers. Gatherers are the babies of Gorgers.

Every match, massive AI drones called Gorgers spawn randomly throughout the map. The spawn locations are marked by a bright red beam shooting into the sky. We suggest players jump off the Battle Bus and pull their glider out immediately. Float in the air until you see the red beam shoot into the sky. You now know the location of a Gorger.

Gorgers are beefy and come with mammoth health pools. For comparison, these things take longer to kill than bosses like Iron Man and Wolverine. Players will need to stack tons of ammo if they aim to defeat one. Alternatively, destroy one of the Gatherers that pop out of the Gorger. Before it explodes, pick up the body. Now, you have a powerful energy weapon with infinite ammo. Use this to destroy the Gorger.

Don’t underestimate the Gorgers. Never stand still, constantly strafe around the Gorger to avoid taking damage. Continue to unload on the Gorger. Be aware of your surroundings, as there will likely be other players fighting for the Gorger themselves, or even worse, trying to eliminate you. Taking this challenge on using Party Assist in a squad is ideal. Players will be awarded 50,000 XP for their struggles.

Deal damage to opponents at The Authority (500) - 25,000 XP

The absolute ideal location for this type of challenge, players must deal 500 total damage at The Authority.

This should be easier than any of the other “deal damage” challenges. The Authority is dead centre of the map and always packed with enemies. Finding targets for this challenge will be no problem.

Launch Team Rumble and immediately head for The Authority. From here, loot up and play as you normally would. However, stay within the boundaries of The Authority. All damage dealt at the location will count toward this challenge. Players should have no issues dealing the necessary 500 damage in the first few minutes of the match.

Deal damage to opponents at Stark Industries (500) - 25,000 XP

For whatever reason, the past two weeks have come with duplicate challenges. Just like the above challenge, players need to deal 500 damage to opponents. Only this time, at the Stark Industries POI.

Thankfully, Stark Industries is another very poppin’ location. Players flood here in hopes of completing challenges and acquiring the Iron Man Mythic items. Copy the strategy above to a T. Dealing 500 damage rounds out to about two fully-shielded enemies and another unshielded player. If you die, just fly right back down and try again.
