The Fortnite Victory Crown is a new feature within the battle royale that is all about that risk/rewards. Fortnite has seen a massive update with the launch of Chapter 3, which introduced a brand new map, a new sliding mechanic, and even Dwayne "The Rock'' Johnson. However, the Victory Crown could be a mainstay of the latest seasons. Fortnite Victory Crown: What Is The Victory Crown?
The Fortnite Victory Crown is a new way to win in style within the battle royale. Picking up the Victory Crown will reveal yourself to other players, however, you will also earn additional XP the longer you wear it. It's sort of similar to the Kill Leader in Apex Legends.
If you manage to win the game whilst wearing the Fortnite Victory Crown, then you will be granted an exclusive emote which will count the amount of Crowned Victory Royales you have managed across the first season of Chapter 3. You will also experience a varied Victory Royale screen. In its essence, the Fornite Victory Crown is the ultimate version of bragging rights.
Fortnite Victory Crown: How To Get The Victory Crown
Click to enlargeThe Fortnite Victory Crown isn't quite as simple as finding and picking it up. Instead, only certain players will have access to the Victory Crown, depending on your team's performance. Here are the places you need to rank in any given game type to get your hands on the Fortnite Victory Crown.
- Solos: Top Four Players
- Duos: Top Two Teams
- Trios: Top Team
- Squads: Top Team
It is clearly a little easier to get your hands on the crown when playing in either Solos or Duos, but things get a little stricter when it comes to Trios and Squads. You'll need to be sure your Squads are bringing their absolute A-Game.
Once you get into the top spots you will receive a prompt, meaning that you can choose whether to don the Fornite Victory Crown or not. However, be prepared to receive some additional heat as your name will be highlighted as long as you have it. However, if things do get too crazy, you can choose to drop the crown, which will leave you hidden, but also rid you of additional XP. If you are killed while wearing the crown, another member of your team can pick it up.
