Challenges have become a critical part of the Fortnite experience. Challenges offer players a creative and interesting way to earn bundles of XP. Completing challenges is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass and unlocking exclusive skins like Lara Croft and Raven from Teen Titans.

Now that we’re a month into Season 6, the weekly challenges are becoming a bit tricky. Most of these challenges require the player to use the new items and features introduced this season. Players must tame wildlife and use the new craftable weapons to burn and shockwave different targets.

Each Week 4 challenge grants a substantial 24,000 XP. Completing all seven Week 4 challenges will grant players a massive 168,000 XP.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 4 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Set structures on fire (10) - 24,000 XP

Players must unleash their inner arsonist for this first challenge. Completing this challenge requires the player to burn down ten total structures.

The best tools for this job are Firefly Jars and the Primal Flame Bow. These items will set wooden structures ablaze on impact.

Collect up Fireflies near wooded areas around dusk or craft a Primal Flame Bow using a Firefly Jar or a Gas Can.

With your incendiary device in hand, launch flaming projectiles at any wooden structures you come across. It doesn’t matter if a player built it with wood or if it’s a pre-built structure on the map. Set the buildings ablaze until you’ve burned up ten total.

Search Chests (7) - 24,000 XP

This is a challenge seasoned Fortnite players should be familiar with. Players must search seven total chests anywhere on the island.

This one is about as easy as it comes—no need to worry about searching chests at a particular location or any other minute details. Just search seven chests in any game mode for a free 24,000 XP.

Eliminate opponents with weapons of rare rarity or higher (3) - 24,000 XP

For this challenge, players must eliminate opponents with Rare, Epic, Legendary, or Mythic weapons. The corresponding colours are Blue, Purple, Gold, and Orange.

Simply, eliminations with any weapon that’s not a Common or Uncommon gun will count for this challenge.

If you find yourself needing to upgrade a weapon, check out our list of all weapon upgrade locations In Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 6. These NPCs will upgrade your gun’s rarity in exchange for Gold Bars.

Shockwave wildlife using a Shockwave grenade or bow (1) - 24,000 XP

This is one of those odd challenges Fortnite players will be tasked with from time to time. Players must hit an animal with a Shockwave Grenade or a Mechanical Shockwave Bow.

Finding a Shockwave Grenade comes down to luck. Search Chests and ground loot until you stumble across a stack of these seismic throwables.

From here, players have two options: Keep the Shockwave Grenades or use them to craft a Mechanical Shockwave Bow. A Mechanical Shockwave Bow can be crafted using two Shockwave Grenades and a Mechanical Bow. Each arrow of this unique bow gives off a Shockwave effect on impact.

With your item of choice in hand, it is now time to find a member of Fortnite’s wildlife. Chickens and Boars tend to reside near farmland. Frogs can be found in marsh and swamp areas. Wolves usually stay near wooded and mountainous regions. Lastly, Raptors are typically found near the centre of the map, around Boney Burbs and The Spire.

Bounce any of these creatures with a Shockwave effect to complete this challenge.

Tame animals in different matches (3) - 24,000 XP

As most players probably know by now, taming is a new feature introduced in Chapter 2 - Season 6. Players can tame wild animals and turn them into friendly allies.

Taming aggressive animals like Boars, Wolves, and Raptors requires that you first lure them in with a piece of Meat. While the animal is focused on the Meat, walk up to it and hold the interact button to tame it.

Chickens and Frogs will run away when startled. To tame these non-aggressive animals, you’ll need to chase the critter down and catch it or sneak up on it by crouching.

Alternatively, players can craft a Hunter’s Cloak using two Animal Bones and one piece of Meat. Animals will ignore any player with a Hunter’s Cloak equipped, making for easy taming.

Unfortunately, this challenge will take three matches minimum to complete. Players must tame animals in three different matches, not three animals total. To save time, players can tame an animal and immediately leave the match to start a new one. Repeat these steps three times until the challenge is complete.

Deal explosive damage to opponents (1000) - 24,000 XP

The Mechanical Explosive Bow is the prime tool for dealing explosive damage. Sure, there are Frag Grenades, but the Mechanical Explosive Bow allows players to rain explosive damage down rapidly and accurately.

Thankfully, Mechanical Explosive Bows can be crafted, so there’s no luck involved in acquiring one. Mix six Frag Grenades with a Mechanical Bow to create a Mechanical Explosive Bow. Every arrow shot from this bow will be accompanied by three sticks of dynamite.

Craft yourself up a Mechanical Explosive Bow and pick at enemies from afar. Take one of these dynamite-laced bows into Team Rumble, and the explosive damage will tally up quickly.

Revive a teammate (1) - 24,000 XP

Week 4’s final challenge could not be any easier. It shouldn't take players more than a couple of minutes max to complete this last challenge.

Reviving a teammate can be done in any mode that isn’t a Solos mode. Team Rumble is the easiest because you’ll have dozens of other players on your team.

Walk around the battlefield like a medic and look for teammates in distress. There will be a symbol over a teammate’s head if they are down.

When the opportunity arises, proceed with the rescue mission. Build cover around your ally and go for the revive. A single revive will complete this challenge.
