Fortnite Runaway Boulders, also known as Physics Boulders, are brand-new in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. Runaway Boulders are giant rocks that rest on a foundation of stone. When hit with a Pickaxe or any significant force, Runaway Boulders will be knocked off their base and sent tumbling downward. Rolling Runaway Boulders will decimate any structures, vehicles, wildlife, or players in their path.

Runaway Boulders sit perched up on mountains and hilltops across the Island. Runaway Boulders are most common in areas with elevated topography, such as the Mountains biome in the north-west corner of the Island and the region surrounding the Reality Tree.

Seven Outpost II north-west of Logjam Lumberyard and the territory surrounding Reality Falls feature several Fortnite Runaway Boulders.

A Week 2 Seasonal Quest assigns the task to boost into a Runaway Boulder and dislodge it with a Baller. Since the Challenge specifically states to use a Baller to dislodge the Runaway Boulder, we want to target a Runaway Boulder near one of the Fortnite Baller locations.

Ballers are exclusive to Rave Cave, so head that way and grab one of the hamster ball-like vehicles. Once in the driver's seat of a Baller, it's time to find a Fortnite Runaway Boulder.

There are Runaway Boulders north, south, and east of Rave Cave — and one atop Rave Cave itself.

Directly north of Rave Cave, in front of the Peely speaker, is a Runaway Boulder on a mountaintop. Further north at Seven Outpost II are even more Runaway Boulders.

East of Rave Cave is another Runaway Boulder on the peak of a mountain. This Runaway Boulder is west of Behemoth Bridge and north of Drill Hill.

South of Rave Cave, there are a couple of Runaway Boulders on the border between the Mountains and Reality biomes.

Last but not least, there is actually a Runaway Boulder atop the Rave Cave. Right below the Screwballer roller coaster is a Runaway Boulder on the Rave Cave mountainside.

Roll up to one of the many Runaway Boulders around Rave Cave and boost into it with your Baller. This action will dislodge the Runaway Boulder, sending it tumbling down in the opposite direction.

Your efforts in this Week 2 Seasonal Challenge will net you 15k XP toward your Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass and Season Level.

That's everything you need to know about how to boost into a Runaway Boulder and dislodge it with a Baller in Fortnite. Use A Baller to slam into a stationed Runaway Boulder and hurl the massive stone downhill, demolishing anything and everything in its path and completing the Week 2 Seasonal Quest in the process.
