Fortnite: Talk To J.B. Chimpanski - War Effort Questline: Fortnite Punchcards
Not sure how to talk to J.B. Chimpanski and complete the War Effort questline punchcard in Fortnite? As an alternative to Epic and Legendary quests, Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 8 introduced punchcards. This guide will run you through how to complete all five stages of the talk to J.B. Chimpanski and complete the War Effort questline punchcard.

Fortnite: J.B. Chimpanski Location
Click to enlargePlayers will find J.B. Chimpanski at the Weather Station landmark. Weather Station is south of Catty Corner and east of Misty Meadows. More specifically, the Weather Station is up on the snowy mountainside of Mount Kay.
J.B. Chimpanski will be standing on top of the helicopter pad waiting for you.
How to complete all Fortnite J.B. Chimpanski War Effort questline challenges
Stage 1 - Make Donations to a War Effort Donation box (0/1) - 12,000 XP
Click to enlargeTo begin the War Effort questline, Fortnite players must approach J.B. Chimpanski and interact with him. Talk to J.B. Chimpanski and accept the quest to make donations to a War Effort donation box.
War Effort donation boxes are a new feature of Chapter 2 - Season 8. Interacting with a War Effort donation box will allow the player to contribute Gold Bars to a community goal. After the playerbase has donated a certain amount of Gold Bars in total, the Fortnite community as a whole will receive the listed reward.
Players can find War Effort donation boxes all around the Fortnite island, but the closest one to J.B. Chimpanski is at Catty Corner. Approach the War Effort donation box and donate 50 Gold Bars to complete stage one of the War Effort questline.
Stage 2 - Deliver a car to the Weather Station (0/1) - 14,000 XP
After donating to a War Effort donation box, turn around and grab a car from the Catty Corner gas station. To make things easier on yourself, consider picking up a pair of off-road tires out of the nearby auto repair shop and attaching them to the car. This item will make driving uphill and through snow much less difficult.
Deliver the car back to J.B. Chimpanski at the Weather Station to knock out stage two off the War Effort questline.
Stage 3 - Harvest metal from an Alien Crash site (0/100) - 16,000 XP

Fortnite players can identify alien crash sites on the map by their orange-colored terrain. The land within these extraterrestrial areas is covered in Cubes, Shadow Stones, and slipstreams. The closest alien crash site to Weather Station and J.B. Chimpanski is west of Catty Corner, above Misty Meadows.
Use your pickaxe to harvest 100 of any material, and complete stage three of the War Effort questline. Wood, Stone, and Metal all qualify for this challenge.
Stage 4 - Talk to Characters (0/3) - 18,000 XP
Stage four of the War Effort questline requires Fortnite players to talk to three different non-player characters (NPCs) on the island. Players will need to choose any three characters and have a conversation with them.
The locations of all Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 8 NPCs are as follows:
- Baba Yaga – South-west of Sludgy Swamp, above Dampy Dish
- Charlotte – In the yard of the modern house at Pleasant Park
- Dark Jonesy – In the lobby of Kevolution Energy at Steamy Stacks
- Dusk – Primal Pond (west of Lazy Lake)
- Fabio Sparklemane – Apres Ski (south-west of Misty Meadows)
- J.B. Chimpanski – Weather Station (south of Catty Corner)
- Kitbash – Near the cargo crates at Dirty Docks
- Kor – East side of Misty Meadows
- Madcap – East of Corny Crops in the watermill by the river
- Penny – West entrance to Retail Row
- Pitstop – North-east edge of Boney Burbs
- Scuba Jonesy – Coral Cove (west of Coral Castle)
- The Brat – Fork Knife Food Truck (north of Lazy Lake)
- Toona Fish – Viking Vessel (west of Holly Hedges)
- Torin – The Aftermath (south-west of Corny Crops)
Talk with any three of these 15 NPCs to move onto the last stage of the War Effort questline. The NPCs in the closest vicinity to Weather Station are Kor, Penny, Fabio, and Dusk.
Stage 5 - Interact with a mounted turret (0/1) - 20,000 XP
Click to enlargeThe Fortnite island is littered with mounted turrets that players can hop on and to off high calibre bullets. The closest mounted turret to where we’ll be for the War Effort questline is at Destined Dish, south of Misty Meadows. There’s also a mounted turret on the centre bridge at Misty Meadows for those that don’t want to make the trip out to Destined Dish.
Take a seat on the turret for a few seconds to complete the final challenge in J.B. Chimpanski’s War Effort questline.
Fortnite players that complete all five stages of J.B. Chimpanski’s War Effort questline will be awarded 80,000 XP toward their Chapter 2 - Season 8 Battle Pass.
