Fortnite Covert Ops is a special in-game event scheduled to run from the end of April to the beginning of May. Fortnite players will need to enter the Zero Build playlists and complete multi-stage missions to satisfy time-sensitive Quests. Those talented enough to complete all of the Fortnite Covert Ops Quests before time runs out will secure exclusive rewards like the Secret Sledge Pickaxe.

Fortnite Covert Ops Explained

Fortnite Covert Ops begins on April 22 at 2pm (BST). Covert Ops revolves around helping The Origin complete an undercover operation in the Zero Build playlists.

Every few days, you'll be assigned a new Covert Ops Quest. You will need to finish both stages of a Covert Ops Challenge to move on to the next Quest. But there's a catch: if you don't complete a Covert Ops Quest before a new one goes live, you'll lose access to the entire Covert Ops event.

Those that make it through all of the Covert Ops Quests will net loads of XP and an exclusive Pickaxe.

Fortnite Covert Ops: Quests And Dates

Covert Ops Quest 1: April 22 at 2pm (BST) - April 26 at 1:59pm (BST)

• Stage 1: Establish a Device Uplink in Zero Build at Logjam Lumberyard, Sleepy Sound, Fortnite Tilted Towers, Sanctuary, Greasy Grove, or Condo Canyon
• Stage 2: Eliminate Players in Zero Build (10)

Covert Ops Quest 2: April 26 at 2pm (BST) - April 28 at 1:59pm (BST)

• Stage 1: Establish a Device Uplink in Zero Build at an IO Outpost
• Stage 2: Collect compromised Intel from IO Outposts in Zero Build (1)

Covert Ops Quest 3: April 28 at 2pm (BST) - April 30 at 1:59pm (BST)

• Stage 1: Establish a Device Uplink in Zero Build at Tilted Towers, The Daily Bugle, Rocky Reels, Condo Canyon, or Coney Crossroads
• Stage 2: Destroy Structures with a Tank in Zero Builds (300)

Covert Ops Quest 4: April 30 at 2pm (BST) - May 2 at 1:59pm (BST)

• Stage 1: Establish a Device Uplink in Zero Build at Tilted Towers, Rocky Reels, Command Cavern, or The Fortress
• Stage 2: Plant timed explosives at an IO Airship, Command Caven, or The Fortress in Zero Build (1)

Fortnite Covert Ops: Tips And Tricks

You will have a few days to complete each Covert Ops Quest. You MUST complete both stages of a Covert Ops Quest to access the next Quest.

A couple of the Stage 2 sections are rather easy, like destroying structures with Fortnite Tanks, but others, like collecting compromised Intel from IO Outposts and planting timed explosives at an IO Airship, Command Cavern, or The Fortress will require more effort. Completing a Fortnite Covert Ops Quest will earn you 30k XP toward your Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Battle Pass and Season Level, as well as grant you access to the next Covert Ops Challenge.
