Aliens have invaded the Fortnite world and changed our lives as we know them. But one thing remains the same: challenges. Completing challenges is the best and most efficient way of earning XP in Fortnite. Players will need this XP to acquire Battle Stars, the currency used to unlock items in Chapter 2 - Season 7’s Battle Pass. Ignoring challenges will make it near impossible to unlock Season 7’s signature skins like Rick Sanchez and Superman.

Now that we’ve harped on about the importance of completing challenges, let’s get into the details. Each Week 4 challenge grants a substantial 30,000 XP. Completing all Week 4 challenges will grant players an enormous 375,000 XP.  As you can see, these challenges are not something you want to miss out on.

A month into the new season and the aliens are getting bold. These extraterrestrial creatures are abducting the island’s inhabitants at a rapid rate. We must hold off the alien invasion and rescue the non-player characters (NPCs) that have gone missing.

It’s time to save the Fortnite island from its inevitable doom - and earn some Battle Stars and XP while we do it.

Epic Quests

Deal Damage near an Abductor (1,000) - 30,000 XP

Abductors are large alien spaceships that spawn randomly above different named points of interest each match. As the name suggests, these ships will abduct players and take them to the Mothership.

These massive Abductors are easy to spot in-game, but they are also marked on the map. Start a match and head to the nearest Abductor. Battle any players you find, either on top or below the Abductor. You’ll need to deal 1,000 total damage, so this may take a few matches. If there are no enemy players around the Abductor, you may want to back out of the match and try again.

Repeat these steps until 1,000 damage has been dealt to enemies near an Abductor.

Destroy Hiding Places (3) - 30,000 XP

Players can jump into objects like dumpsters and porta-potties to hide from enemies. This challenge tasks players with destroying three of these hiding places.

Hiding places are spread throughout the entirety of the map. An abundance of these hiding spots can be found at Pleasant Park. Behind the gas station, players will find a dumpster and a porta-potty. A third and final hiding spot can be found a short distance away on the side of the modern house.

Destroy Objects at Retail Row, Lazy Lake, Pleasant Park, or Holly Hatchery (5) - 30,000 XP

This may be one of the easiest challenges ever released. Players must simply land at one of Retail Row, Lazy Lake, Pleasant Park, or Holly Hatchery and destroy five objects.

Land at any of these locations and just pickaxe five objects of your choice. Light poles, signs, chairs, vases, any object will work. One could probably get this challenge done in sub-30 seconds.

Experience Low-Gravity with Alien Nanites or on the Mothership (1) - 30,000 XP

While you’re damaging players near Abductors, take a detour to the Mothership. Jumping inside the centre of the Abductor will teleport players to the Mothership. After a short time on the Mothership, players will be teleported back out into a low-gravity zone. This sequence will complete the challenge and earn you 30,000 XP.

Hunt an Infected Animal (1) - 30,000 XP

Infected animals are wildlife that have had their heads overtaken by alien parasites. Players will often find these infected animals near Pleasant Park and Corny Complex.

Search the surrounding area of Pleasant Park and Corny Complex for chickens and boars that have parasites attached to their heads. Kill one of these animals and put it out of its misery. You’ll be rewarded 30,000 XP for your animal control duties.

Travel in a Saucer (1,000) - 30,000 XP

Completing this challenge requires that the player travel 1,000 metres in a saucer. Players can find unattended saucers at Camp Cod, Steamy Stacks, Durrr Burger, and a few other locations. Additionally, players can hijack a saucer from a trespasser or another enemy player.

Get behind the wheel of a saucer one way or another. Next, just take a cruise around the map until you have travelled 1,000 total metres.

Abduct an Opponent with a Saucer Tractor Beam (1) - 30,000 XP

Keep an eye out for enemy players on the ground as you're joyriding in the alien saucer. As the pilot of a saucer, players can abduct enemies and other objects using the saucer tractor beam.

Pick a target on the ground and abduct them with the saucer tractor beam. Week 4’s final Epic Quest will complete once you have an enemy player held hostage.

Legendary Quests

Search the Farm for Clues (2) – 45,000 XP

It’s time to put on our best Sherlock Holmes impression. Week 4’s first Legendary Quest has us searching Steel Farm for clues related to the whereabouts of Farmer Steel.

Steel Farm has four clues total, but we only need to collect two of them. The first clue can be found next to the red tractor in the centre of the cornfield. A second clue can be found near the trees on the north-west corner of Steel Farm. A third clue is placed on the west side of Steel Farm, down by the riverbank between a set of rocks. Finally, the fourth clue is just across the river north of Steel Farm, next to a trio of wood logs.

Collect any two of these four clues to earn a whopping 45,000 XP.

Visit Farmer Steel’s Favourite Places (3) – 30,000 XP

The man behind Steel Farm, Farmer Steel himself, has gone missing. His cousin, Hayseed, wants us to find him. Hayseed suggests that we search for Farmer Steel at his favourite places.

Farmer Steel’s favourite places include:

  • The lake south-east of Dockside Dish
  • Pizza Pit
  • Flopper Pond

Visit these three locations and report your findings back to Hayseed to complete this challenge.

Place Missing Person Signs in Weeping Woods and Misty Meadows (4) – 30,000 XP

It appears that Farmer Steel still hasn’t shown up. We’ll need to recruit some reinforcements in our search. There are five spots at Weeping Woods and five spots at Misty Meadows where players can place missing person signs. We’ll need to place down four of these signs to satisfy this challenge.

Just like last week, the spots where players can place these signs will be represented by a blue, translucent hologram. Refer to the video below for the exact locations of all potential missing person sign sites.

Collect Doomsday Preppers Guide (1) – 30,000 XP

The aliens are taking over, and doomsday is upon us. Our only hope is to prepare with the official Doomsday Preppers Guide.

One copy of the Doomsday Prepper Guide can be found in the building east of Kevolution Energy at Steamy Stacks. The Doomsday Preppers Guide is inside the orange building marked with a #3. The book is under the staircase on the first floor.

A second copy of the Doomsday Preppers Guide is inside the Hydro 16 building west of Misty Meadows. Players will find the book on the floor of the small office to the left of the main staircase.

Secure one copy of the Doomsday Preppers Guide to complete this Legendary Quest.

Forage for Food, Need Supplies (5) – 30,000 XP

We’ll need to stock up on some food and supplies if we want to outlast the alien onslaught. Week 4’s final Legendary Quest tasks the player with collecting five consumable fruits and/or vegetables.

There are a couple of ideal spots to easily complete this quest. One is at Steel Farm. While you’re searching for Farmer Steel, take a few swings at his cornfield. Harvesting the corn will create cobs of corn that players can gather and consume.

Alternatively, players can visit The Orchard north of Steel Farm. Here, players can collect both apples and cabbages.

Gather five fruits and vegetables total to wrap up another week of Fortnite challenges.

We’ll be back next week with another edition of our Chapter 2 - Season 7 Fortnite Challenge Guide. Stay tuned here @GGReconEsports for Fortnite news, guides, features, and more.
