Chapter 2 - Season 4 is about to reach its culmination. Marvel supervillain, Galactus, threatens reality as we know it. Galactus and his minions will arrive on the island any moment now. Our Fortnite champions have recruited the help of Marvel superheroes such as the Silver Surfer, Wolverine, and Spider-Man. Together, they must defend reality at all costs.

Chapter 2 - Season 4’s Battle Pass came chock-full of all the iconic characters fans have come to love. Unlocking Doctor Doom, Mystique, Iron Man, and more, requires levelling up the Battle Pass. Completing challenges throughout the season is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass. Some players love the activity of challenge hunting. For others, it may feel like a chore. Regardless, they are a necessity for those looking to earn all of the exclusive rewards.

Challenges were actually nerfed this season. Standard challenges now offer 25,000 XP and the Party Assist challenge grants 50,000 XP. Compare this to last season where standard challenges gave 35,000 XP, and the Party Assist challenges offered a massive 80,000 XP. This means completing all of the challenges is even more pertinent this season. Players that still need to catch up should check out our Week 9 Challenge Guide.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 10 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Search Chests at Upstate New York (7) - 25,000 XP

Upstate New York? I thought this was Fortnite? Upstate New York is actually the name of the floating island holding up Stark Industries.

This challenge requires players to search seven total chests at Upstate New York. Thankfully, this includes the entire mini-island. Any chest found on Upstate New York counts. That includes Stark Industries, the lake house and its hidden laboratory, and any Quinjet patrol sites.

With so much area to cover, there’s going to be a lot of chests to go around. Ideally, players should pick one section and focus their efforts there. As one may expect, most of the chests are in Stark Industries. However, with more chests comes more competition. Stark Industries is also home to Iron Man, so tons of players will be there for his Mythic items.

We suggest jumping into either the Solos or Team Rumble playlist. From there, hot-drop down onto Upstate New York. Land wherever you are most comfortable/where the least amount of players go.

We chose the lake house by the massive lake in the centre. Walking into the giant bush next to the house will lead to the secret lake house laboratory. Inside, players will find at least two guaranteed chests (plus complete a Week 7 challenge). From there, players can head upstairs to find even more chests. This location is preferable to the main Stark Industries base. The lake house lab is hidden and not a ton of players even know about it.

Next, players may continue searching Upstate New York for chests or just leave the match. Your progress will count, and you can jump right into another game. Repeat these steps until seven chests have been searched.

Eliminations at Lazy Lake (3) - 25,000 XP

Lazy Lake — one of the few OG POIs left on the map. The location has changed, but the name remains. Players must pull off three eliminations at the historic POI.

This is one of those challenges players will want to get out of the way ASAP. Everyone is eager to finish their challenges right away, especially in Week 10. So, Lazy Lake will be flooded with visitors.

Use this to your advantage. Grab a weapon as soon as possible and chase fights. Target distracted players and players that may not have been lucky enough to find a weapon. If you die, just try again. The challenge can be completed over multiple games.

Collect Metal from Slurpy Swamp (150) - 25,000 XP

No skill is required for this one. Players need to simply whip out the ol’ pickaxe and get to harvesting.

Slurpy Swamp has metal everywhere. This comes in the form of Slurp tanks, rooftops, containers, trucks, and more. There should be no shortage of metal in the area, even if other players are doing the same challenge.

Just drop into Slurpy Swamp and chop away until 150 total metal has been harvested. For safety, do this in Team Rumble. If you die, you’ll just spawn right back in.

Catch fish at Heart Lake (3) - 25,000 XP

Heart Lake is another location many players may not be familiar with. Heart Lake is the giant lake in the middle of Upstate New York, right by Stark Industries. It doesn’t really look like a heart to us, but that’s the name it was given.

On the east side of Heart Lake, players can find a small shack with barrels next to it containing fishing rods. Grab a rod and choose a safe spot to fish. All that’s left is to keep casting until you reel in three total fish.

Eliminate opponents by hitting them with vehicles (3) - 25,000 XP

It looks like the developers saved one of the hardest challenges of the season for the final week. Players must eliminate three opponents by hitting them with vehicles.

Eliminating an opponent with a vehicle is not as easy as it may sound. Gone are the days of overpowered vehicles like the notorious planes. Nowadays, vehicles have been nerfed heavily. They are basically only good for transportation, not warfare.

The only saving grace for this challenge is the current Fortnitemares event. When players are eliminated, they respawn as Shadows. Shadows can't build or shoot and only have 100 health. Target these players. It’ll be much easier to eliminate a Shadow compared to a fully-geared player.

Alternatively, players can head into Team Rumble. Things get hectic in Team Rumble. There are mobs of players, and everyone is distracted and doing their own thing for the most part. Drive around like a madman, and you’ll probably run over a few players during the journey.

Drive a boat from The Fortilla to The Authority in under four minutes (1) - 25,000 XP

These time-restricted vehicle challenges can be annoying, but this one is actually quite easy. Players should start by grabbing a boat at the Fortilla. The Fortilla is loaded with boats, so finding one should not prove too difficult. From there, just follow the river north. Taking the river through Slurpy Swamp and Weeping Woods will take you straight to The Authority.

Ride 20,000 metres in a vehicle (20,000) - 50,000 XP

Yay! Another vehicle-based challenge. This one is a Party Assist challenge, meaning it can be completed with friends and awards double the XP.

All players need to do is ride around in a vehicle — that’s it. Completing both of the above challenges will also progress this challenge, so do them first. For the remaining metres, just mindlessly drive around. Throw a few friends in the passenger seat, and you’ll all be rewarded.

Deal damage to opponents at Sentinel Graveyard (500) - 25,000 XP

The final challenge of Chapter 2 - Season 4 tasks players with dealing 500 total damage at Sentinel Graveyard.

Sentinel Graveyard was introduced in Chapter 2 - Season 4. It’s near the centre of the map and loaded with the corpses of colossal robots from the Marvel universe.

Like the Elimination challenges, it’s best to target this one early in the week. Sentinel Graveyard usually isn’t the most popular location, so there is no guarantee opponents will be there to deal damage to. However, this challenge will certainly make it more crowded.

Hot-drop in, grab a gun, and immediately get to hunting. Dealing 500 damage is equivalent to two fully shielded players and one unshielded player.
