We are entering the final weeks of Chapter 2 - Season 4. The war to save reality has kicked into full force. Galactus threatens the universe and our Fortnite champions have recruited the help of Marvel superheroes such as the Silver Surfer, Wolverine, and Spider-Man. Together, they must defend reality at all costs.

Completing challenges throughout the season is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass. Some players love the activity of challenge hunting. For others, it may feel like a chore. Regardless, they are a necessity for those looking to earn all of the exclusive rewards.

Challenges were actually nerfed this season. Standard challenges now offer 25,000 XP and the Party Assist challenge grants 50,000 XP. Compare this to last season where standard challenges gave 35,000 XP, and the Party Assist challenges offered a massive 80,000 XP. This means completing all of the challenges is even more pertinent this season. Players that still need to catch up should check out our Week 7 Challenge Guide.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 8 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Search Chests at Sweaty Sands (7) - 25,000 XP

This week’s “Search Chests” challenge takes players to Sweaty Sands. Players will need to search seven total chests to complete this challenge.

Sweaty Sands is one of the larger POIs on the map. With that, it shouldn’t be too hard to find seven chests there.

Solos and Team Rumble are the ideal playlists for this challenge. In Solos, there are no teammates to hold you back and split chests with. In Team Rumble, there is no risk of death, and usually, both teams land separately. This leaves more chests for you.

Players should hot-drop out of the Battle Bus down to Sweaty Sands. Choose one of the many buildings; pretty much every one has a chest or two inside. From here, rotate to the next building, avoiding friendly and/or enemy players. Try to locate buildings that have not yet been looted. Once it seems like all of Sweaty Sands has been cleared, exit the match. This will save both your progress and your time. Repeat these steps until seven chests have been searched.

As always, consider saving this challenge for last if you aren’t up for tons of early-game fighting. Sweaty Sands will be heavily contested for a day or two after the week 8 challenges drop. Save this challenge for last to avoid the headache.

Eliminations at Stark Industries (5) - 25,000 XP

Players should have absolutely no trouble finding targets for this challenge. Stark Industries is, without a doubt, the busiest location on the map. The presence of Iron Man and a batch of Stark Robots means that there is always a constant stream of players at the location. Everyone wants to get their hands on the new Mythic items.

Finding players to eliminate is half the battle. As for the actual deed of eliminating them, there are a few strategies. One, play Team Rumble. In Team Rumble, players have infinite respawns. This means that death has no consequence. Keep trying until you reach three eliminations. The second tip is to take advantage of third-party opportunities. The beginning of matches is mayhem, especially at a location like Stark Industries. Use this to your advantage. Listen for gunshots and keep a lookout for distracted enemies. Jump in and clean up these kills whenever possible. Executed together, and these tips should ensure three eliminations in just a match or two max.

Drive a car or truck through a rift (1) - 25,000 XP

Chapter 2 - Season 4 brought back the fan-favourite rifts. This challenge asks players to drive a car or a truck through one of these rifts.

Ever wondered what happens when a vehicle goes through a rift? Well, you are about to find out. First things first, players must grab a truck or a car. These are found all around the map. Sweaty Sands, Retail Row, Doom’s Domain, and Salty Springs are just a few of the popular locations to find vehicles. However, these spawn tons of places, even randomly along the roads of the map.

Once you’ve acquired a car or truck, it’s time to find a rift. Just like the automobiles, these are found throughout the map. Check out the video below for the location of every rift on the current map. Pick the one closest to you and begin the journey. The challenge will complete once the vehicle has entered into the rift.

Eliminate opponents while jumping or falling (5) - 25,000 XP

This challenge appears to be a lot more difficult on the surface than it actually is. Historically, eliminating an opponent while jumping or falling would require hitting something like a 360 no scope trick shot. However, Chapter 2 - Season 4’s implementation of Mythic items makes this challenge much more doable.

Players will need to queue up for the Marvel Takeover LTM. Focus on collecting up Mythic Items such as Iron Man’s Gauntlets and Unibeam, and Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets. These Mythics have the ability to launch and float the user through the sky. From here, players can reign down a barrage of attacks with the gauntlets or a more powerful ability like the Unibeam. This is much more reasonable than killing an enemy out of the air with a traditional weapon like a gun. The Marvel Takeover LTM allows players to complete this challenge through normal gameplay.

Headshot Doom Henchmen or Stark Robots (35) - 25,000 XP

Doom Henchmen and Stark Robots work similarly to the Spy Henchmen of previous seasons. These AI enemies patrol and defend certain POIs on the map and will act hostile toward players. As you’d expect, Doom Henchmen can be found at Doom’s Domain. Stark Robots patrol Stark Industries as well as the Quinjet Patrol Sites. Players must achieve 35 headshots total on these minions.

Jump into Solos and head to one of the locations listed above. Grab the first weapon you can find while keeping an eye out for the Henchmen and enemy players. You should be able to tack on a couple of headshots to each Henchman or Robot before they go down. Mow through the AI, focusing on hitting as many headshots as possible.

If you find yourself under a lot of fire, build to protect yourself and retreat. Henchmen and Robots will attempt to revive their downed comrades. This leaves them standing still and open for easy headshots.

Visit different named locations in a single match (5) - 25,000 XP

This challenge requires players to explore the entirety of the Fortnite map. Players must travel to five different named locations, all in one match.

A challenge like this requires mobility. Thankfully, Chapter 2 - Season 4 is packed full of mobility items. Grab a car, some Crash Pads or Shockwave Grenades, or even Silver Surfer’s Board. Even better, take this challenge on in Team Rumble. In this mode, players get Glider Redeploy. This allows players to build up and fly across great distances effortlessly.

The centre of the map contains many POIs bunched together. Places like Sweaty Sands, Doom’s Domain, The Authority, Salty Springs, holly Hedges, and Weeping Woods are all a few tiles from one another. This is where players should focus their efforts. Quickly travel between the different locations, avoiding conflict at all costs. Being in the centre of the map, there should be no issues with the Storm consuming any locations. In Team Rumble, death won’t reset your progress. So just fly down to the next location if you happen to get eliminated. This makes for an easy single match challenge.

Deal damage to opponents with Assault Rifles or Sniper Rifles (15000) - 50,000 XP

This week’s Party Assist challenge is a hefty one. Players must deal a whopping 15K total damage using Assault Rifles and Sniper Rifles.

Dealing 15K damage is equivalent to 150 unshielded players. That’s obviously going to take some time. It’s pretty much a requirement that this challenge is completed in the large team modes like Team Rumble.

On the bright side, this challenge does not require too much brainpower. Players should simply play the game as normal while using Assault Rifles and Sniper Rifles. The rest comes down to your teammates. Every bit of damage dealt with an Assault Rifle or Sniper will be credited toward your personal progress. Some players may not like to rely on others, but it’ll be necessary to complete this challenge. Your efforts will be rewarded with 50K EXP.

Deal damage to opponents at Misty Meadows (500) - 25,000 XP

The final challenge of Week 8 takes us to Misty Meadows. Players must deal 500 total damage at the location.

By now, most readers probably have a good idea of how to complete this challenge. Hot-drop in, grab a weapon, and get to killing. However, this challenge can be paired with others for maximised EXP gain and efficiency.

For example, if you grab an AR or Sniper, all damage dealt at Misty Meadows will also count toward the Party Assist challenge listed above. Furthermore, the Week 6 challenges required payers to claim three eliminations at Misty Meadows. Defeating opponents here will count for both damage and an elimination. Take note of your other uncompleted challenges and search for opportunities to kill two birds with one stone.
