Fortnite Bruno Mars is the latest superstar musical artist to have their likeness transformed into a Fortnite skin. As we've seen time and time again, Fortnite is no stranger to crossovers and collaborations. Now, Fortnite Bruno Mars and the Silk Sonic duo join the roster of Fortnite Icon Series skins. But what is the Fortnite Bruno Mars skin, and how do you get it?

Fortnite Bruno Mars: Who Is Silk Sonic?

Silk Sonic is an American R&B supergroup consisting of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. The duo's debut single, "Leave The Door Open'', released in March of 2021 and was integrated into Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 as an emote.

Fortnite Bruno Mars Skin Release Date And How To Get

Bruno Mars and his duo partner Anderson .Paak will enter the Item Shop as Fortnite skins on Thursday, February 11, 2022, at 12am GMT. Bruno Mars and all of the Silk Sonic Set can be purchased for V-Bucks.

Fans of Silk Sonic will be happy to find out that there's more than just a pair of outfits featured in this Icon Series collaboration. Each Silk Sonic member has a couple of purchasable accessories that fit their style. 

Bruno Mars comes with the Sound Scepter Pickaxe, which can be equipped as both a Harvesting Tool and a Back Bling. Additionally, the Freedom Wheels Emote will have you dancing to a classic Bruno Mars tune. Anderson .Paak's half of the set contains the Sonic Snare Back Bling and the Boom Bap Pickaxe.

When it comes to the skins, both the Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak outfits arrive with three total styles. Each artist's skin has an alternate Style and a reactive Style.

Wrapping up the Silk Sonic accessories, Fortnite players can purchase the Somebody This Fly Lobby Track to play before a match as well as the Leave The Door Open Emote if you missed it the first time around.

While acquiring the Fortnite Bruno Mars skin via the Item Shop will set you back a couple thousand V-Bucks, it's possible to get the skin completely free. 

Scheduled for Monday, February 7, 2022, at 5pm GMT, players that finish near the top of the Leaderboard in the Duos Silk Sonic Cup will unlock the Bruno Mars Outfit, Anderson .Paak Outfit, Sound Scepter Pickaxe/Back Bling, and Sonic Snare Back Bling before they hit the Item Shop. Additionally, any player that scores at least eight points will be awarded the "Silk Sonic" In-Game Cosmetic Spray.

The exact placement thresholds you'll need to hit to unlock the Bruno Mars skin and accompanying cosmetics is based on the region you're competing from. Check out the rundown below for the detailed numbers:
