Despite their aggression, you can tame a Boar and turn it into an ally by feeding it its favourite food.
A Fortnite Boar's diet consists of fruits and vegetables. The fruits and vegetables available on the Fortnite Island include:
- Apples
- Bananas
- Cabbage
- Coconuts
- Corn
- Peppers
- Mushrooms
- Slurp Mushrooms
While these Foraged Items can be found loose in the various biomes around the Island, Fortnite Produce Boxes are a guaranteed source of fruits and vegetables. These green-coloured cardboard boxes are prevalent in Fortnite's many restaurants, kitchens, and grocery stores. Each Produce Box contains two random sets of Foraged Items.
With some grub in hand, approach a wild Boar. Now, hold down the aim key/button to prepare a toss. When ready, press the fire key/button to throw the food toward the Boar. The fresh fruit and vegetables should distract the Boar and make it forget about you for a moment.
The final steps involve slowly closing in on the Boar while it's dining on its new meal. Get next to the Boar and hold the interact button down to begin the taming process. Once successful, some pink hearts will appear over the Boars head, signifying its loyalty to you. Your new animal friend will charge into action by your side and follow you till death.
