The default FM22 kits can be a bit bland, and don't match the looks of real life football kits from your favourite club and national team. Football Manager 2022 allows you to change these quite easily - by just downloading the correct mod pack, and installing it to the FM22 folder. If you need a walkthrough on how to change the FM22 kits, read on,

It can be quite difficult to track down an all-in-one kit pack as instead, you typically end up downloading each league or nation individually. This can be a pain but once you’re set up and know how it works, it can take just a few minutes to sort each pack you download.

The upside to this is that you won’t have to download one huge file and deal with the long extract and copying times. It also allows you to just grab the kits that are important to you. The best options available at the moment are the TCM Kit Packs.

FM22 Kits: How To Install The Kits

We've got the entire breakdown of how you can get your FM22 kits uploaded into the game. Follow our step-by-step guide below;

  1. Download your FM22 Kit pack and extract the files
  2. Take the graphics folder from your download and copy it into the Football Manager 2022 Folder. This is usually found in Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2022 on Windows PCs. On Mac, head to the Library folder to find your Sports Interactive folder instead.
  3. Boot up FM22 and head into any save file. It’s best to do this part while in a save as you’ll see if the badges update straight away.
  4. The kit images may be available as soon as you load a game but there is still one very important step remaining! Open up the preferences menu and in the top-left drop-down menu, make sure it’s set to show all preferences.
  5. Scroll down to find the option which reads ‘Use caching to decrease page loading times’ and make sure it is UNTICKED.
  6. Then make sure the option reading ‘Reload skin when confirming changes in preferences’ is TICKED and then hit confirm.
  7. The game skin will reload and the club badges will now be available!

The uploading and installing of any kind of graphic can be a little temperamental but following the above steps should result in a smooth experience. If you’re having any issues, make sure you delete all content you’ve added to the game files and start again, you may have made a mistake without realising it.

Now you've sorted the real kits in the game, why not check out our best FM22 tactics?
