From following your favourite players to simply learning the game-breaking habits and best skill moves, the FIFA 22 Global Series will have you learning from the right playbook, and understand how to watch and earn rewards.

But what is the FIFA 22 Global Series, and how can you earn in-game rewards just by watching?

FIFA 22 Global Series: What Is It?

The FIFA 22 Global Series is the elite competition for esports players, where players can compete in a 1v1 or 2v2 setting to become crowned as global champions.

Through a range of Qualifiers, Global Series Opens, and reaching the highest ranks in FIFA 22 Division Rivals, players can be either invited by EA or earn their spot in the Playoffs in July 22, which is also a road to the FIFAe World Cup.

The first FGS Open kicks off on December 8, spanning over five days, where the best players on the globe will compete in their respective regions to climb up through the FIFA 22 Globalseries.gg leaderboard and secure places at the Playoffs. Winners of the first FIFA 22 Global Series Open will also get a seat on the plane to the Team of the Year Cup - EA's first in-person live event since the global pandemic surfaced.

The online FGS Open will also offer prize pools per region for the top-ranked teams, with the winners getting at least $3,500, and up to $10,000 depending on the location.

FIFA 22 Global Series: How To Earn In-Game Rewards From Watching

By tuning into the FIFA 22 Globalseries.gg Open, you will be eligible for in-game rewards through the FGS Swap Tokens, allowing you to earn four FIFA packs depending on your viewership times.

For simply keeping an eye on the event, players can earn a Jumbo Rare Players Pack (worth 100,000 coins and boasting 24 all-rare gold players including one above an 85 rating) among other packs.

Tokens can be earned by linking your FIFA account to either YouTube or Twitch, and watching the FIFA 22 Global Series Open on the respective platform. With four milestones to hit, you can earn increasingly better packs.

  • 1 Token -> Premium Gold Pack
  • 2 Tokens -> Premium Gold Players Pack
  • 3 Tokens -> Prime Gold Players Pack
  • 4 Tokens -> Jumbo Rare Players Pack

The reward tally will also carry over into the Team of the Year cup in January, and so on, throughout the next wave of FIFA 22 Global Series, until one duo and one individual are crowned as champions of the world.

With the expertise on display, you may even pick up a trick or two that will see you boost your FIFA 22 Weekend League status.
