The FIFA 22 FUT Captains is the latest event where some incredible cards are walking and dancing their way from the reveal screen to your starting Ultimate Team. In this promo, the FUT Captains will honour those who wore the badge for club and country from the Heroes collection, giving the failed FIFA 22 card type a well-earned boost, whilst also celebrating players who still lead their teams out at the weekend. So, here's everything you need to know about the FIFA 22 FUT Captains promotion, including players, Heroes, and release date.

Following the release of the FUT Champions Team 1, the Mini Release has added three further players:

  • FUT Heroes Gomez (93) - Bundesliga
  • Koke (91) - Atletico Madrid
  • Cooper (88) - Leeds United

FIFA 22 FUT Captains Heroes

One of the most exciting parts of the FIFA 22 FUT Captains promotion is giving some well-needed love to the Heroes. Unfortunately, most of the FUT Heroes have been extremely underwhelming in FIFA 22, with the exception of David Ginola and Cordoba, although both have recently been eclipsed by players released in the FUT Birthday and Fantasy FUT promos.

Here, EA will now be upgrading those Heroes who captained clubs, or their country, in the FUT Captains event, giving the likes of Ginola, Di Natale, and Abedi Pele a new lease of life.

The Heroes players that will receive boosts in the FIFA 22 FUT Captains event are:

Team 1

  • Di Natale (93)
  • Milito (93)
  • Ljungberg (92)
  • Dempsey (91)

Mini Release 1

  • Gomez (93)

Team 2 Leaks

  • Cordoba
  • Cole
  • Cahill
  • Keane
  • Abedi Pele

The stats and ratings of Team 2 have yet to be leaked, although they are set to be around a +3 overall boost.

FIFA 22 FUT Captains Players

Alongside the Heroes boosts, the first team of FIFA 22 FUT Captains is also on its way, and a range of leakers have already littered social media with upcoming players. Again, it's a captain fantastic clap on the back, as those who lead their team will be in the promotion.

The likes of Marcelo, Henderson, Koke, and Fernandinho will get boosts as they lead their respective clubs towards the last four of the Champions League, while more subtle maestros like Noble will get recognition.

The full list of the FUT Captains Team 1 squad is as follows:

Team 1

  • Reus (93) - Dortmund
  • Lloris (92) - Tottenham Hotspur
  • Insigne (92) - Napoli
  • Ben Yedder (92) - AS Monaco
  • Quagliarella (92) - Sampdoria
  • Mings (90) - Aston Villa
  • Noble (89) - West Ham
  • Muniain (89) - Atletico Club
  • Dubois (87) - Lyon
  • Hector (87) - FC Koln

SBCs

  • Fernandinho (92) - Manchester City
  • Joaquin (92) - Real Betis

Team 2 Leaks

  • Trimmel (88) - Union Berlin

FUT Captains Release Date

While EA rounds off the latest Showdown Series with a third Liverpool player in Curtis Jones as the reds go into a thrilling Premier League table-topping clash against Aymeric Laporte and Manchester City, they will be the last pair added on Thursday, April 7.

With the typical release date of FIFA 22 promotions being Fridays, the FUT Captains Team 1 release date was April 8, at 6pm GMT, while Team 2 is set to be released on April 15 at 6pm GMT.

So whether you fancy yourself a boosted David Ginola or a new leader for your squad, the FIFA 22 FUT Captains promo might be everything you need.
