If you're ready for some Medieval madness, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is back with its bouncing beans and a fresh lick of paint for Season 2. Mediatonic's freshman season was an undeniable success as the adorable party game climbed to the top of the PlayStation charts and officially became the best-selling PS Plus game of all time.

With accusations Fall Guys is already becoming a "dead game", developers promised to deliver something different in Season 2 and mix things up a bit with a brand new theme. While we're still expecting fan-favourite levels to be dragged back in time for the Medieval-themed Season 2, there's a whole host of new courses for us to duel in.

Mediatonic has been carefully teasing its new additions on social media, but with Season 2 finally spreading its dragon wings, there's been a huge drop of what's on the way.

On October 5, the official Mediatonic account confirmed there are only four new rounds coming in Season 2. Still, that doesn't mean we won't see a Medieval twist being added to the likes of Fall Mountain - we're guessing you'll have to climb to the top of the hill and rescue a damsel in distress before sticking on the crown. Here's which new levels you'll be able to ride into action on and (hopefully) save the kingdom.

Knight Fever

As Fall Guys levels go, none look quite as intimidating as Knight Fever. This first round obstacle course is designed to separate the wheat from the chaff early on with a 75% qualification rate. IGN gave an in-depth look at what you can expect in Knight Fever, alongside a reveal of how it was made. Safe to say, we're pretty terrified.

As well as spike-covered logs and spinning axes, there's a perilous slime slide, and the intimidating addition of Thicc Bonkus. If you haven't heard about this devilish new obstacle, it's effectively the Medieval version of Big Yeetus and is a giant swinging log that's adorned with spikes. Expect to be yeeted right off the course with this formidable foe.

Wall Guys

The other one Mediatonic has been showcasing in the run-up to Season 2's drop is the level that's been affectionately dubbed Wall Guys. This is another teamwork game (boo) that will hopefully redeem the divisive nature of co-op levels. By the looks of it, you witches and wizards will have to work together and push blocks of different sizes into place, then climb them to advance.

Grabbing items (and other beans) is nothing new - leading to some unfortunate griefing in Season 1. When it comes to Wall Guys, that will be put to good use as you drag the giant blocks around the course and help your others clamber up the different terrains to the qualification line. Will you sit back and watch others do the work or get stuck into the action?

Hoopsie Legends

The third course is channelling some serious Harry Potter vibes and what could easily be mistaken for a game of Quidditch. Well, we do have witches and wizards. Developers have been keen to point out this isn't just a sequel to Hoopsie Daisy, emphasizing that Hoopsie Legends is very much its own beast.

Making the most of this Medieval mayhem sees drawbridge added as an obstacle to try and stop you scoring points. Other players will certainly get in the way to cause trouble, so you'd better watch your step. If only there were flying broomstick. Who knows, maybe they could be added at a later point in Season 2?

Egg Siege

Gamers initially thought this eggcellent map was a remix of Egg Scramble. There's no escaping the fact Egg Scramble was one of the most hated courses in Season 1, so it makes sense Mediatonic wants to avoid its latest drop of content being associated with the maligned map. By the looks of it, Egg Siege will be more about collecting eggs from the centre of the map.

We're assuming you need to snatch the eggs and get them back to the coloured baskets of your corresponding team around the edge of the arena. The dev team teased that players would have more control over mechanisms this time around, meaning your team could help hinder an enemy team's progress by raising/dropping the level's drawbridge at inopportune moments.

The big question is, are these supposed to be dragon eggs to fit with the season's theme?

Just like Season 1 updated its maps with latecomers like Big Yeetus and a barrage of rolling fruit, players are hoping there will be a few tweaks to the Medieval maps in Season 2. Across the board, it looks like fan-favourite levels like Door Dash and Wall Crash are also be getting a Medieval makeover.

Ultimately, players will have to wait until they've played a fair few rounds of each new addition before they'll get to really find out how everything works in the revamped Fall Guys Season 2 maps. Gather your own knights of the round table and get ready to rumble.
