What Is The Escape From Tarkov Pre Wipe Event?

Much like the recent Escape From Tarkov Airdrop pre wipe event, the Bosses pre wipe event is Battlestate’s way of giving players a shock on the eve of the account reset. However, where the Airdrop event brings in countless fresh loot to the game, the Bosses event creates a rather hazardous environment for all players.

Battlestate Games has posted a rather cryptic newspaper clipping on their Twitter page, announcing that there has been an increase of criminal activity around the factory area. Thanks to a translation from Twitter user tarkovtips, the text states:

Customs approves! Increased local criminal activities have been spotted in the industrial zone around the chemical factory nr. 16. According to our data, the local news authorities gathered to discuss the escalated situation involving the Keeper and his guard. The trader disappeared, leaving his base without a guard, giving marauders a free hand.

The bosses seem to be meeting to discuss the situation surrounding the Lighthouse keeper, foreshadowing the Lighthouse expansion that we know is coming in the next wipe. From now on until then though, every Scav boss in the game now has a 100% (or near enough) spawn rate on the Escape From Tarkov Customs map. They all appear to have static spawn areas as well, so you can roughly choose which ones you want to take on.

This is a fairly common pre wipe event that Battlestate likes to introduce and cause chaos with, so it is up to you whether you want to brave the Customs map and take the challenge head on or not.

Here’s a list of all the bosses currently on Customs due to the Escape From Tarkov pre wipe event, alongside their spawn locations:

• Shturman: Between RUAF Roadblock and the main bridge
• Killa: Big Red warehouse
• Tagilla: Big Red warehouse
• Reshala: Dorms buildings, particularly the three-story Dorms
• Gluhar: Stronghold/Fortress area
• Sanitar: Water Warehouse

We could possibly see another one or two pre wipe events in the coming days, but this could be the last gameplay shift that is introduced. At most, expect something like trader price slashes or something outside of the raids to be changed.
