Diablo Immortal Barbarian: Best Build Guide

The Diablo Immortal Barbarian class is a great way to start your journey - especially if you’re a new player looking to get into the series. In Diablo Immortal there are many ways you can approach each class, optimising them to suit your playstyle with various different skills and gems. However, there can only be one Diablo Immortal Barbarian best build, so make sure to carry on reading to find out.
Although the Barbarian class isn’t the highest end on our Diablo Immortal class tier list that doesn’t mean that it is not extremely viable. The key strength of the Barbarian comes out within the early game, as you are able to run through a lot of standard monsters with ease, and not have to worry too much about your defence. This all depends on your skills though, as picking the right skills will help you dominate any fight the game throws at you.

Best Diablo Immortal Barbarian Skills

While you can orient your Barbarian playstyle towards team support with specific skills that draw enemies to yourself, the best Diablo Immortal Barbarian build is a cleaner of sorts, who is able to output an insane amount of concentrated damage whilst worrying as little as possible about defence. So, have a look below for what we think are the best Diablo Immortal Barbarian skills.
Skill Name | Description | Cooldown Time | Level Requirement |
Lacerate | A series of attacks with varying damage numbers per hit, and each third hit heals you with 15% of the damage done | Level One | |
Whirlwind | Spin rapidly, dealing damage to all nearby enemies whilst controlling your movement at a reduced speed. Channelled attack that slowly depletes energy with use | 0.5 Seconds/Until recharged | Level Eight |
Leap | Leap to a chosen spot, dealing damage and reducing movement speed to all close by enemies on impact. Each hit to a full HP enemy reduces the cooldown by one second | 12 Seconds | Level 28 |
Undying Rage | Be prevented from dying for four seconds and all your attacks heal you for 30% of damage done | 30 Seconds | Level 44 |
Wrath of the Berserker | Increases attack speed by 50% and movement speed by 20% for 6.5 seconds | 30 Seconds | Level 50 |
The key to mastering this Diablo Immortal Barbarian build is splitting the skills into two halves that you balance yourself between. The first half is the highly efficient but slow recharging skills like Undying Rage and Wrath of the Berserker that allow you to take control of the fight and attack without recourse.
The second half alternatively comes in when either of them are on cooldown, and that is when you make use of the Leap then Whirlwind combo. All you need to do for that is Leap into some enemies (the more the better) and then Whirlwind upon landing as they fail to escape. The first half should be coming off of cooldown shortly after finishing this combo, so you can start the whole process again.

Diablo Immortal Barbarian: Best Gems

Although the aforementioned first part of the best Diablo Immortal Barbarian build is in theory the stronger half, it is the second part that we are going to be focussing most of our Diablo Immortal gems on. That is not to say that these gems are useless for Undying Rage and Wrath of the Berserker, just instead that they synergise so well with the Leap and Whirlwind combo that it would be silly not to use them.
Gem Name | Base Effect | Rank Three Effect |
Lightning Core | Primary attacks and movement charge lightning that when fully charged releases to deal 90% base damage plus 1,134 to surrounding enemies | Increases damage by 3% for three seconds after lightning attack |
Trickshot Gem | Channelled skills consume energy 8% slower | Reduces incoming damage by 0.5% while using a channelled skill |
Chained Death | Increases attack damage by 1.5% every time you hit a target up to 4.5% | Increases to 6% bonus damage from four targets |
Fervent Fang | Each time you damage an enemy your attack damage is increased by 0.8% against them, up to a maximum of 8% after ten separate attacks | Damage against Elite monsters is increased by 1.5% |
As you can see, all of these gems focus on increasing damage through repeated attacks, which could not be better for a skill like Whirlwind. You will really see the effects of these gems when you Leap into a group of about 20 enemies and catch them all in your Whirlwind attack - which has been extended by the Trickshot Gem. You will be the hypothetical lawnmower through the grass we call dungeons.
You could alternatively opt for the Berserker’s Eye gem, which increases your damage by 5% but subsequently raises incoming damage by 6%, but that might be a bit too much if you want to go full on the no defence build.
That rounds off our Diablo Immortal Barbarian best build guide, giving you the optimal skills and gems to become the frenzied monster you’ve always dreamed of being.
