Destiny 2 The Dawning 2021: Christmas Event Start Date And Rewards

Destiny 2 The Dawning is back, as the festive sci-fi season kicks off. Destiny 2 has a myriad of events, meaning players always have something to look forward to, and the Christmas season is no different. We know you will be chomping at the bit to put a Santa hat on your Guardians, so here's everything we know about Destiny 2 The Dawning 2021, including start dates and rewards.

Luckily for those in the Christmas spirit, Destiny 2 The Dawning is right behind you. This yearly event has already kicked off with the weekly reset (December 14), and will run throughout the rest of the year. Destiny 2 The Dawning will see out the rest of the year, before eventually concluding on the first weekly reset of the new year, which in this case is January 4, 2022.

Destiny 2 The Dawning isn't the most serious affair on offer in this expansive online shooter. Rather than taking down cataclysmic terrors, Guardians usually take to the stars to deliver delicious baked goods for Eva Levante. For anyone that doesn't know, Eva is the Shaders vendor from Destiny 1, who now shows up for seasonal events. She was last seen during the Seasons of the Lost event in October. Eva can be found in the main hub of The Tower, next to the cryptarch, Master Rahool. 

These events usually see a myriad of seasonal rewards, such as new sparrows, armour ornaments, and ships - usually with a bit of a seasonal spin - and the occasional legendary weapon. For this year's Destiny 2 The Dawning, players will work towards unlocking the Dawning Spirit armour set. Along the way can also  unlock the Enchanting Emblem, Vapoorwill Spin Exotic ship, Fractic Spiral Sparrow, and Zephyr Legendary Sword. A new ornament and multiple emotes are also available through the Eververse. This might be a slight overload for Destiny fans who are currently enjoying the Bungie 30th Anniversary event.
