Destiny 2 Shoot to Score is an ongoing quest that is part of the Guardian Games event. Destiny 2 has been running this event annually for a few years now, pitting the various classes of Guardian against one another in a friendly competition for bragging rights. Shoot to Score is a new quest tied to the games, which will require players to make progress over the course of the Guardian Games. Here is everything we know so far about the Destiny 2 Shoot to Score Guardian Games quest.

When you load into Destiny 2 now you will have an objective on your map screen, that tells you to go to the Tower and speak with Eva Levante. As is tradition, she is in charge of proceedings and will get you started in participating in the Guardian Games.

Speak with her and she will give you your first quest of the games, Destiny 2 Best in Class. Complete the introductory quest and you will be given a few more quests to complete, one of which being Shoot to Score.

The Shoot to Score quest is time-locked beyond a certain point, this quest cannot be fully completed as of yet but here are the quest steps that have been revealed thus far.

  • Complete Strikes in the Guardian Games: Training playlist to set a high score. There are Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum score thresholds and passing each will give you a buff for the week.
  • When the Competitive playlist goes live on Friday, complete Competitive Strikes. Get Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum scores to light each of the Scoring Torches in the Tower and unlock more reward packages.
  • You will receive a Contender’s Boon relevant to whichever score level you have reached. Currently, players seem to only be able to unlock up to the Gold Contender’s Boon which grants several buffs for Guardian Games activities for the rest of the week.
  • Next week, this quest should cycle around again with more scores to hit and buffs to get.

Information on this quest is not totally clear as we have to wait for Friday to learn more, and also it seems as though there may be some bugs involved. Platinum is the highest score tier yet many players are finding their buffs capped at Gold, despite getting Platinum scores. Also, the Guardian Games reward weapon The Title is not being granted when it should be, so there are definitely some things going a bit wrong with Guardian Games right now.

That is it for the Destiny 2 Shoot to Score quest, if things change and more information becomes available we will be back to update this guide. For now, something we can all do is go and grab plenty of Laurels, and we have the tips you need in our Destiny 2 Laurels guide.
