In the past the best Vanguard NZ-41 loadouts would have been locked off to DLC. However, in Vanguard this assault rifle makes it way into the main roster of weapons. You won't unlock this one until you reach level 41, but once its in your hands you'll notice the lack of initial recoil, making for a rather accurate AR. However, you need the right attachments to really solidify the NZ-41 among its AR companions, so we've cooked up our guide to the best Vanguard NZ-41 loadouts that'll keep this firmly amongst your favourites.

Fancy a different assault rifle? Check out the guides below for our AR loadout guides:

In Vanguard, the NZ-41 is an rifle that benefits players with great accuracy, but punishes players who sustain their fire, making it a rather confusing weapon for its intended long-distance use. However, the wide range of attachments available in the Vanguard gunsmith options does allow you to experiment with many different builds.

So, here's our guide to get the most out of your best Vanguard NZ-41 loadouts, including the best class set-up and attachments.

The Call of Duty Vanguard gunsmith throws caution to the wind on any weapon, and adapting to the NZ-41's strengths mean that you can make it very good at short ranges. With a muzzle that helps combat the slow fire rate, you can hit great shots into your opponents before fleeing off with the Frenzy proficiency slot and head straight into your next fight with full health. Complimenting this with attachments that benefit speed and bullet velocity, close and medium range gunfights are going to be your bread and butter.

For your boosted Vanguard NZ-41 loadout, you'll want to apply these attachments:

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: Ravenwood 480mm
  • Underbarrel: SMLE Pistol Grip
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Ravenwood Padded
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Proficiency: Frenzy
  • Kit: Fully Loaded
  • Magazine: N/A
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened

Although it doesn't excel with persistent fire, the best Vanguard NZ-41 loadouts can have a lot of strengths for long-distance shooting, typical of a gun with a slow fire rate and a powerful punch. Trading out your close-range attachments for those that can combat the horizontal recoil can result in you having one of the best long-ranged ARs in Vanguard.

For your long range best Vanguard NZ-41 loadouts, you'll want to apply these attachments:

  • Muzzle: F8 Compensator
  • Barrel: Orbweaver 360mm BC
  • Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
  • Optic: G16 2.5x
  • Stock: Orbweaver E Pack
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Proficiency: Brace
  • Kit: Fully Loaded
  • Magazine: N/A
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened

Best Vanguard NZ-41 Loadouts: Perks & Equipment

The major flaw with the Vanguard NZ-41 is the magazine. You will only get 30 bullets in a mag, and all of the extended magazines come with more cons than pros. Therefore, you'll want a good pistol on your side for when you need the extra bullet or two. The perks will vary depending on your playstyle, although Ghost is a banker with the larger scale team games.

For your best Vanguard NZ-41 loadouts you need the right perks and attachments. Keep it nice and simple with these choices.

  • Secondary - Ratt
  • Perk 1 - Ghost
  • Perk 2 - Radar
  • Perk 3 - Scavenger
  • Equipment - Gammon Bomb
  • Tactical - Stun Grenade

With these best Vanguard NZ-41 loadouts, you'll easily be able to become one of the most feared players on the game. Check out what other guns rated alongside the NZ-41 in our best Vanguard assault rifles rating.
