Thanks to her EMG-X Scanner, Paik can highlight hostels concealed behind cover. This is brilliant for those tighter knit areas like the containers in Manifest, or the rocky horizon of Renewal. Helping things even further is Paik's Acquisition perk. This allows Paik to spot any enemy that does damage to her.

Click to enlargeBattlefield 2042 Paik is incredibly useful at mid-to-close-range, and as such you'll likely want to rock an SMG set up. You'd be pressed to do better than the best Battlefield 2042 PP-29 loadouts, which come with a solid damage rate and low-recoil. The PP-29 is also one of the better guns to avoid the accuracy ruining Battlefield 2042 bloom. Following this up you'll want the MP28 for when the 53 round mag of the PP-29 isn't enough. To flit from one encounter to the next you'd do well to pick up the Med Pen which is unlocked at level 26 for quick, on the fly healing. For your throwable a Smoke Grenade is a great help for when your enemies have been scanned, however, a Frag Grenade can be great for throwing to the cover you know your enemies are hiding behind.

Click to enlargeAs a close-range scanner, you are of course best playing Battlefield 2042 Paik right in the action. Your scanner has a limited battery, so it's best to keep turning it off and on, as you don't need to keep it running until the battery runs out. Keep in mind that enemies will only be scanned when they are behind cover, so pick a nice cosy corner and make sure you aren't putting yourself at risk from potential shooters.
However, if you are wanting to play things a little riskier, then the Acquisition perk means you can rack up spotting assists from just putting yourself in the firing line - and the value at the same amount of XP as the actual kills. It might not be the kindest strategy to your kill/death ratio, but with the odd Battlefield 2042 scoreboard system no one would even know. However, keeping a Falck or Angel around for healing and reviving responsibilities would certainly help.
