Apex Legends: How To Craft Skins
Apex Legends offers plenty of amazing skins and cosmetics, with some being available to purchase with Apex Coins, and others being craftable via a currency called Crafting Metals.
Crafting Metals can be obtained in two ways – via Apex Packs and via levelling up as a reward.
Crafting Metals are represented by a blue in-game currency icon in the lobby screen, and can also be used to purchase recolours of skins and items in the Game Store.
Crafting Metals can drop in different rarities (such as Rare and Epic), meaning you obtain more in a single drop.

For those players who don’t want to drop 1800 Apex Coins (by spending real-life money) on a Legendary skin can save up their Crafting Metals and craft the skin for themselves.
You can craft many different items in Apex Legends, including the below.
- Weapon skins
- Legend skins
- Legend banners
- Legend quips (intros and kills)
- Legend finishers
All of the cosmetic items in Apex have different rarities, which means they cost different amounts of Crafting Metals.
- Common – 30 Crafting Metals
- Rare – 60 Crafting Metals
- Epic – 400 Crafting Metals
- Legendary – 1200 Crafting Metals
To craft the item you want, simply go to the Legend screen, and navigate to Skins (for example).
Click the one you want to craft, and spend your Crafting Metals. For this one in the example image, we've gone for a Legendary skin, which costs 1200 Crafting Metals.
The same can be done for crafting banners, weapon skins, quips, and finishers.
