Apex Legends has lots of cosmetic options for players, like the battle pass or buying things from the store. Some items can be earned through ranked play, such as badges or weapon charms. One such potential reward is a Dive Trail, a reward for highly skilled players who are successful in ranked. How To Unlock Apex Legends Dive Trails

Dive Trails are a specific and quite exclusive reward in Apex Legends. They are only given to players who have achieved a Diamond ranking or better. As you might expect, that means getting a Dive Trail is a lot of work and anyone you encounter with one is likely to be a very skilled player.

Dive Trails are not permanently unlocked, however. Unlocked Dive Trails are awarded at the end of a season, and are only usable until the end of the next season. So not only are these rewards difficult to get, they are temporary.

How To Equip Apex Legends Dive Trails

If you have managed to get to Diamond or better in ranked play during a season, you will unlock a Dive Trail. However, the new Dive Trail will not be automatically equipped. You need to do so yourself, and you can by going to the Loadout section of the main menu. There you will see options for the various weapon types, and below that a button marked Game Customisation. Click that button and you will have three more options, Transitions, Music Tracks, and Skydive Trails.

Head over to the Skydive Trail menu to see any Dive Trails you have unlocked. As said, beyond the default trail, most will only have access to whatever trail they unlocked in the previous season. That said, there are a lucky few who have Dive Trails from earlier seasons when the trails were permanently unlocked. Choose one of your trails to equip it, simple as that.
