The hype is real for Riot Games' recently announced new FPS game VALORANT, and with gameplay footage being released March 2nd, we got a sneak peek at the 17 available weapons. However, whether these specific guns carry over to the official release remains to be seen.

At the very beginning of the footage provided by IGN, we see a gun menu select screen, with 17 to purchase for use in the match (like the CS:GO setup) which can be seen in the above image. There appear to be six categories of weapon: Sidearm (Pistol), SMGs, Shotguns, Rifles, Snipers and Heavy.

The specific names for each weapon shown are as follows;

Pistols:

  • Classic
  • Shorty
  • Frenzy
  • Ghost
  • Sheriff

SMGs:

  • Stinger
  • Spectre

Shotguns:

  • Bucky
  • Judge

Rifles:

  • Bulldog
  • Guardian
  • Phantom
  • Vandal

Snipers:

  • Marshal
  • Operator

Heavy:

  • Ares
  • Odin

Not included in this list is the tactical knife, which we see in several scenes of the IGN footage, as well as the exclusive gameplay below;

The weapons we see being used the most in the above two clips are The Vandal (Rifle), The Operator (Sniper) and The Sheriff (Pistol), but that’s not to say we won’t see updated footage featuring the other 14 available weapons very soon.

Stay tuned to GGRecon for more updates on VALORANT weapons, characters, and more.
