2021 RLCS Season X - Spring: Oceania Regional Event 2
RLCS Season X is the second RLCS season in 2020 and moving into 2021.
This season will see the biggest changes yet to the RLCS System, because of the League Play and the annual seasons being abandoned and replaced with an open circuit which will include Fall, Spring, and Winter. These three seasonal events will lead to an international major, with each team collecting points that will determine if they will qualify for the World Championship.
Group Stage: The tournament will begin with a Group Stage where 20 teams are split into four groups of five. Round Robin will be a best-of-five match. For tiebreakers, In case there will be a tie, the game differential is the primary tiebreaker that seeds the teams, followed by Head to Head. The top two of each group will qualify to the winner's bracket of the Knockout Gauntlet; Places three and four of each group will qualify to the loser's bracket of the Knockout Gauntlet and the 5th placer will automatically be eliminated.
Knockout Gauntlet: will consist of 16 teams on the knockouts and it will be a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-five. The top 8 teams; 4 from the winners and 4 from the loser's bracket will advance to the Playoffs.
Playoffs: The setup will be a single-elimination bracket and all matches are best-of-seven.
