ZooMaa Hints At Subliners Return As Asim Is Forced To Drop Out Of CoD Major
New York Subliners have been hit with so many missiles this year that it's almost a miracle that they're still afloat, never mind being in the top three of the Call of Duty League.
Prior to the season's kick-off, the new-look roster that was evolved around three-time world champion James "Clayster" Eubanks suffered a huge loss, as Thomas "ZooMaa" Papparratto was forced to retire due to injury. The Italian Stallion is arguably the best player to never win a ring, and would have been an integral cog in Subliner's well-oiled machine, alongside Mackenzie "Mack" Kelley and Paco "Hydra" Rusiewiez.
With ZooMaa out of action, visa troubles held back the French phenomenon Hydra from making the trip over to the United States, meaning Conor "Diamondcon" Johst and Obaid "Asim" Asim were drafted in as a quick fix.
Despite their roster turmoil, Asim has become a stalwart in Subliners' offence, acting as hype man, secondary leader, and overall in-game demon. Sitting in second place in the CDL standings, the Subliners' season looks to be on course for success, but their bad luck may not be over yet.
Asim Potentially Ruled Out Of Stage 4 Major With Visa Issues
Based out of Canada, Asim will have to secure a visa to travel to the first LAN of the 2020, much like the Toronto Ultra cast.
However, Asim was recently stopped at customs, after a problem with his Visa popped up. Now, it appears that the SMG slayer may not be able to travel to Dallas, Texas, in order to compete.
With the squad facing more transfer turmoil, captain Clayster has taken to Twitter to auction off their fourth roster spot, in a hunt to find the "nastiest and hungriest" amateur submachine gun player.
Clayster's hunt seemed to be going terribly, having confessed that some top AMs such as Jacob "Decemate" Cato opted to turn down the chance.
ZooMaa Hints At Coming Out Of Retirement
A catalyst of former professionals such as Damon "Karma" Barlow and Jeremy "Neslo" Olsen have thrown their rings into the hat for a one-off comeback, and experienced AMs like Doug "Censor" Martin and Christopher "Parasite" Duarte also jumped at the opportunity.
The most exciting prospect though is the return of ZooMaa, as he could finally step into the Subliners' roster and light up the league. Taking to Twitter, he confessed that "If you can’t get anyone I’m down."
ZooMaa would be free to compete for Subliners, having been contracted to the organisation as a content creator.
Clayster has yet to confirm any plans on their fourth man, considering Asim's visa issues have yet to be clarified. However, it may be likely that he'd look to finally reunite with his former FaZe Clan parter, rather than opt to find an un-proven gem - although he's pretty good at that too.
The Stage 4 major is just three days away, with New York facing Minnesota Rokkr in the Winners Round 1.
