ZLaner Snubs Twitch Contract Because Of Dr Disrespect Friendship
It's been over a year since the omnipresent Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV, aka Dr Disrespect, was banned from Twitch, and we're no further along the story than the day it happened. As one of the biggest content creators on the platform, the ban sent shockwaves through the gaming community, but we still don't know why he was actually banned.
Since his unannounced break following the Twitch fiasco, Dr Disrespect has returned to YouTube, making a resounding comeback and bringing his Champions Club following over with him.
Now, the doc seems to have wrangled another patient over to YouTube, as his fellow Warzone competitor Zack "ZLaner" Lane is set to snub any contracts from Twitch, upon the expiry of his Facebook Gaming contract.
ZLaner Set To Leave Facebook Gaming
With ZLaner's contract with Facebook gaming now eclipsed, the Warzone warrior has been co-streaming on the social media platform and YouTube, as he opens talks with both parties to get tied down.
Whilst playing in the World Series of Warzone event, ZLaner did stream on Twitch as a one-off, as the competition was exclusive to the platform, although his long-time partner was not allowed to compete following his ban.
However, Dr Disrespect made an appearance, sort of, thanks to ZLaner
With their friendship seemingly turning into a brotherhood, ZLaners has now said that he will not "back-stab" Dr Disrespect by joining Twitch exclusively.
ZLaner Snubs Twitch As They Would Not Allow Streaming With Dr Disrespect
Talking in his recent stream on Facebook, ZLaner said "Currently, in the contract conversation with platforms right now with my agency and all that stuff, Twitch is not even on the table. I told my agency Twitch is not even on the table because of Doc. I would not be able to stream with Doc.”
“Doc isn’t the only person I stream with, but Doc is someone that has literally shined such an insane spotlight on me over the last little while that I would be stabbin’ that man in the back. He’s probably down for me to do whatever I want to do, but that decision was a no-brainer. Twitch is just off the table completely.”
The streamer is now set to join YouTube, alongside the two-time gaming champion, and an array of top-tier talents such as Jack "Courage" Dunlop and Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter.
