A clever YouTuber has come up with a fix for the apparently Joy-Con drift issue that's been plaguing the Nintendo Switch community for years - and people are thrilled.

What Is Joy-Con Drift?

The 'Joy-Con Drift' reports have been floating around for quite a while, with players saying that the analogue sticks register movements even when they're not being touched. Nintendo hasn't ever actually addressed these concerns, and as time has gone on, it's not been reported as widely.

What Is The Trick To Fix Joy-Con Drift?

YouTuber VK's Channel has put out a short video with a fix, saying that all you need to sort the issue is a 'small piece of card'. The video says that the problem itself is actually to do with the plastic at the base of the left analogue stick.

If you push down on this plastic, the 'drift' apparently stops, so a permanent solution is to stick something down there to constantly push it. And hey, wouldn't you believe it, it works (apparently).

What Has The Public Said About The Joy-Con Drift Fix?

Predictably, people are pretty happy with this fix. One person commented: "I TRULY hope your video goes viral. You may have solved such a massive problem in the gaming community! With so many people having Nintendo Switches (especially after this past year), everyone deserves to have working Joy-Cons. Period. Nintendo should care more about this issue, yet they’ve deliberately chosen to ignore it, which is very sad."

Another person added: "The fact that it was THAT easy is ridiculous. Thank you for solving this."

Well, there you have it. If you've experienced this problem, and you've got a piece of card, you're welcome.
