We’re getting sick of Skyrim ports and reapplications, and we’re certainly not the only ones.

The last ten years have been steamrolled by constant reissues, ports, and remasters of the fantasy classic that is admittedly deserving of plenty of attention. Come on now, Bethesda, even you should know when to pack it in. It is truly incessant, and it’s become a notorious and ever-memed annoyance.

Now, it looks like Skyrim is getting ported into the real world with a brand new Skyrim board game that has smashed its crowdfunding goals. Sadly, it comes with a monstrous price tag that only Jarl Balgruuf could manage.

A brand new Skyrim board game was recently taken to GameFound (despite there being no question whatsoever that the game would be funded) and absolutely crushed it. In fact, it reached its full funding goal in just 28 minutes.

Morphidius Entertainment’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim The Adventure Game reached the goal with 32 days to spare. It's billed as an expansive tabletop game that offers plenty of expansions to make the title even bigger and better.

The game board is a bird’s eye view of the map of Skyrim, and takes you across Tamriel with plenty of quests and caves to discover along your journey. But, there’s a caveat, and it’s that the Skyrim board game is almost unbelievably expensive.

How Much Does The Skyrim Board Game Cost?

Good heavens. The game is an expensive one, with the support tiers for the GameFound campaign beginning at an already massive sum.

You can get the game alone with game tier unlocks from £68, a bundle of the game with Dawnguard, and From The Ashes expansions for £140. For you big spenders, the final Deluxe tier comes with everything before, plus extra miniatures, a game mat, and metal Gold Septims for a massive £220. Phew.

The Skyrim board game is a hugely pricey one, though we don’t doubt its quality. Considering Skyrim turns 10 in just a matter of days, it's also a well-timed project to get off the ground. If you see us selling our cars to buy a Skyrim board game, mind your business.
