People are the worst. People that don't say thank you when you hold a door open for them, people who stop in the middle of a busy walkway to check their phones, and people who talk with their mouths open.

Wouldn't you just love to incinerate them all with your own Ray Gun? Well, now you can. Call of Duty is selling official Wonder Weapon boxes containing your very own Ray Gun.

The Call of Duty Zombies Wonder Weapon became a hit sensation within the community when it was first released in Kino Der Toten, and has since been a stalwart of the franchise.

Call of Duty releases official Ray Gun

As the first-ever official Call of Duty collectable, Activision has unveiled a Ray Gun to its stores, which comes inside the magical random weapon box. This is a 1:1 replica that boasts LED lights and comes mounted on its own Mystery Box.

Buyers will have the feeling of wielding the powerful pistol for the first time, but be warned, the Ray Gun collectable comes in at a whopping $600. At least you know what you're getting out of the random box this time and not just Samantha's teddy bear.

Fans were split, and while some want to snatch a piece of the CoDverse, others can't justify the price tag. One critic said, "Not worth it imo, Etsy has one for £139 that has lights, sounds, reload features and I'd take that instead of a shiny one that has very little features."

Another added, "It better be fully functional for that price tag. Something along the lines of 1-200 would sell like cupcakes," while a third joked, "Well Activision got purchased by Microsoft and they're trying to get enough revenue before they become part of Xbox Studios."

How can you get a real-life Ray Gun?

The Ray Gun collectable has already become a popular release, with the design being focused on the OG weapon rather than its Pack-a-Punched forms or upgrades over the years.

To get your hands on it, you might have better luck at the random box itself. Pre-order sales are officially live from March 27, with the replica Ray Gun due to ship in June. As the description says, "Now is your chance to acquire the gun that’s always been there for you... and will never run out of ammo."

The Call of Duty store will be the only place to nab a real-life Call of Duty Ray Gun, well, until it gets scalped for ridiculous sums on eBay. Hopefully, it doesn't come as a buy-one-get-one-free offer with an actual Zombie.
