Astralis has announced that 25-year old Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth will be returning to the starting roster after four months out of competing.

Announced via Twitter, Astralis' captain Emil "Magisk" Hoffmann Reif confirmed that "Xyp9x are back in practice and I love it." before adding that their coach, Danny "zonic" Sørensen has selected him to re-enter the starting roster to playing in Blast this November.

Astralis, who now have somewhat of a Danish super squad, currently have seven players on their books, after recently signing Patrick "es3tag" Hansen and Lucas "bubzkji" Andersen in July. In what has been a manic few months for the Danes, the "greatest in-game leader in CS:GO", Lukas "gla1ve" Egholm Rossander, returned to the starting roster too, with bubzkji making way to the substitute bench.

Now, the man dubbed as the "clutch master", will also be returning to the starting five for the inaugural BLAST Premier Fall event. His four-month-long stint in the inactive roster was due to being 'burnt out' and feeling symptoms of stress, akin to his teammate, gla1ve. Alike many players who have been on the scene for many years, lockdown and consistent online games proved to be a mental stumbling block, although this could just be one of many reasons that lead to his symptoms.

After announcing the 2021 roadmap will be less strenuous for players and a return to LAN will be made possible, the ESL has been mindful for likeminded CS:GO professionals which will be better for players such as Xyp9x and gla1ve.

Astralis will now have to reconfigure their seven-man roster and utilise their individuality to get back on their European throne.
