xQc Explains Why He’s Moving House ‘Every Two Weeks’
Felix "xQc" Lengyel has been having a bit of a mad one recently. Potentially one of Twitch’s biggest names and biggest points of contention, the streamer has been changing his streaming setup quite a lot. The controversial Twitch icon has been causing a lot of discussion as many fans are confused as to why his streaming backgrounds are changing so frequently, and why it seems that he’s moving around a lot.
And now, he’s come clean about why he isn’t streaming from the comfort of his own home.
xQc Reveals He Moves House ‘Every Two Weeks’
xQc has revealed that the long history of break-ins and fans approaching his home has kept him from streaming from there, and he is choosing to stream elsewhere to deter these break-ins from happening.
“I can’t even go back to my house, man”, he says on stream. “It’s not safe. F**k am I meant to do? [...] Yeah, I don’t know. Maybe if people stop showing up to the f**king house and stop f**king breaking in, maybe I’d go home, dude! Jesus Christ.”
He also revealed a few weeks ago that the subathon that he’s been planning for months won’t go ahead until he can actually move back into his house and host his streams there - so it looks like his fans will have to wait until he feels safe enough to stream from his home.
Who Is Breaking Into xQc’s Home?
It’s long-disputed whether those breaking into xQc’s house are fans or haters, but either way, they’re a pretty big risk to his wellbeing.
He revealed not too long ago that someone broke into his old home with a crowbar and was supposedly on the lookout for him, presumably meaning him harm. And sadly, this is a fairly regular occurrence for him, and it’s depressingly common given his immense stature on the Twitch platform.
Fingers crossed he’s able to move back into his home soon enough. He’s a controversial figure, but regardless of what you think of him, he at the very least deserves to be safe during his streams.
