When you think of what qualities make streamers popular and entertaining, one of the most frequent adjectives will be "energetic". Looking at some of the most renowned streamers in the world such as Nick "Nickmercs" Kolcheff, Tyler "Tyler1" Steinkamp, and Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter, they all boast insurmountable volumes of energy, although they don't quite hold a candle to the vibrance of Felix "xQc" Lengyel.

The divisive streamer is often praised for having insane stamina and charisma, which has seen him top charts as the most viewed streamer of 2020.

However, maintaining the extreme levels of vitality for hours on end is a task in itself, and according to xQc, "emotional donations" can often bring the vibe levels right down, especially when they're constant or even fake.

In a hilarious outburst during a stream, Felix said "Let me talk about this once and for all. I realize this kind of like a picky topic, but I’ll just tell you straight up. The emotional donos are fine - when they’re true. The problem is when there are too many of them and they're stacked”.

Disclaimer - no jibberish translators were harmed in deciphering this clip.

He continued to add that it's not only the contents but the timing as well.

Sympathetically, Felix did encourage people to still use his stream to interact with him and talk about serious problems, stating “I feel bad for the people that are having tough times, legitimately, and they’re struggling. They’re trying to get under the wave of BigPog, and you just pull everybody down.

"I feel bad for the people that are just trying to escape.

“I don’t want to shut down people from saying stuff that they’re going through. Just be mindful not to stack it all. I don’t want this stream to become a ship of despair".

With great influence comes great responsibility for xQc, especially with so many eyes on him. Finding the right balance between hyped gameplay and energy with a grace of sympathy is one tough nut to crack.
