Xbox Game Pass Owners Can Stream Games To Their Phones And Tablets From September
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate owners will be able to stream to their phones and tablets on selected games, through the Project xCloud, starting September 15.
The xCloud will allow players who have the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to link their phones or tablets to an Xbox controller and play/stream games through the attached screen. In addition to being able to play your favourite games on your smartphones or tablets, everything tied to your Xbox Account, such as friends, achievements, game saves and progression, player profiles, and controller settings will all carry over through the xCloud via the Xbox Game Pass app.
Xbox has already confirmed that there are to be over 100 titles from the Xbox Game Pass' library which will be compatible on the xCloud when it is launched in September. Games such as Gears 5 Ultimate Edition, Minecraft Dungeons, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Sea of Thieves, and Halo 5: Guardians have been confirmed so far, with a full range of games coming at a later date.
The Xbox Game pass allows for players to have access to a huge variety of games for a monthly subscription, often dubbed as the 'Netflix for video games', and has been in function since June 2017. With a range of top titles all available, as well as featured games such as Grand Theft Auto V coming on for a month, the Xbox Game Pass allows players to visit games that they wouldn't normally, offering endless entertainment. As of September 15, 2020, Ultimate subscribers are about to experience the pass like never before.
The xCloud will also allow you to play co-op with friends through the same account, taking 'split-screen' literally.
In addition to the Xbox live subscription, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate starts at £10.99 a month, with your first month available for just £1, should you want to try it out.
