Superhero crossovers in Fortnite are nothing new. In fact, they're arguably one of the biggest contributing factors to the game's success.

Cosmetics are something that have carried the battle royale title pretty far and helped the game to cling to relevance without any sign of loosening its grip. Fortnite's multitude of characters, gliders, back bling and more has spanned an incredible multitude of IPs and immortalised the game with a hub of popular characters - trying to blast each other with rocket launchers.

We wouldn't have it any other way. And now, the next superhero coming to the game has been revealed as part of a leak - and it's a doozy.

When is Wonder Woman Coming To Fortnite?

It has been revealed that Wonder Woman is the next character from the extensive DC backlog of heroes to appear in Epic's battle royale bruiser. Better yet, she's just days away, with her imminent arrival coming August to the Fortnite shop on August 19.

The Amazonian warrior is coming to the game with her own cape back bling, golden wing glider and axe harvesting tool. She's wearing her iconic comic book look, with her silver bracers and lasso of truth on her belt.

The first look at the character was leaked by popular data miner HYPEX, who shared Diana Prince's snazzy skin on Twitter.

It's also coming with a separate skin variant to commemorate the Wonder Woman Cup, which comes with the cape, back bling, and an exclusive loading screen.

The skin looks great and will be a welcome addition to the long roster of superhero characters in Fortnite - but she certainly isn't the first character from the DC Universe to come to the game.

DC has a huge roster of characters in Fortnite, with most of them being pulled straight from the comics.

Superman and Batman have already appeared in the game, with Superman getting a black suit variant and Batman getting a heavily armoured version of his iconic look.

The Joker, Poison Ivy, and another original Fortnite character were included in the Last Laugh Bundle, which is by all intents and purposes a starter pack for the game, coming packaged with some extra V-bucks and cosmetics.

Other villains have also appeared, like Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Black Manta all getting their own battle royale skins. Green Arrow has already appeared in-game, being part of a Fortnite Crew bundle and coming with a slew of other goodies.

Finally, the character Bloodsport was added to the game to commemorate the release of James Gunn's The Suicide Squad in cinemas.

The DC Universe is no stranger to hopping out of the battle bus, and it's nice to see that Diana Prince has finally made her appearance in the game. Fingers crossed that Polka-Dot Man is the next hero to be added to the game.
