Wolves Esports and Evil Geniuses have blossomed a new partnership after Wolves' major shareholders, Fosun Sports Group, have decided to invest in the Seattle-based giants.

The partnership will see both esports clubs compete separately, but cohere in creating content in both English and Mandarin, and collaborate in a range of merchandise and geographical growth.

Wolves Esports' China-based team will help Evil Geniuses grow into the Asian market, as well as having some major influence on the orgs League of Legends progress. With EG currently sat in good stead to progress to the World Championships, Wolves will be offering up their complex and training facilities to allow the LCS side to prepare for the 2021 finals in Shenzhen.

The two organisations will also combine in their branding, with Evil Geniuses splashing the Wolves Logo onto their official jerseys, and feature a dash of Wolves' orange on their existing logo.

In a statement, Wolves Esports General Manager, Russell Jones, said: "This is an incredibly exciting partnership for Wolves and Wolves Esports.

We’ll be pooling resources across analysis and performance as well as marketing and commercial to service and grow both organisations. We are looking forward to working together on a number of fan engagement initiatives over the next few months"

So far, the two organisations have yet to meet within a competitive title, with Wolves mainly operating in Rocket League, FIFA, and Call of Duty: Mobile, whilst EG have remained focused on the League of Legends operations alongside Dota 2, CS:GO, and VALORANT.

After just a year in esports, Wolves' venture seems to be on the rise, and will now benefit largely from the existing EG fan base that has grown since being formed in 1999.
