Woeful Warzone Bug Ruins Loadouts On Rebirth Island
Getting your hands on a loadout on Call of Duty: Warzone's Rebirth Island is hard enough on its own, with the whole lobby capable of hearing its deployment and red smoke, and an enemy team always in your eye line.
However, if you're quirky enough to eliminate all foes in one area before calling in the reinforcement bundle, you'd be horrified to see it rendered absolutely useless.
With a hefty wad of cash plundered into the Buy Stations, loadouts can often give you the winning edge on Rebirth Island, giving you weapons that are formidable in tight-knit situations.
One group of players were left stunned after grafting for their personalised weapons, as a woeful Warzone bug resulted in their loadout drop falling straight through the ground.
After splashing $7,500 on the loadout down by Chemical Engines, Reddit user "MotivationalSleeping" and his three teammates were wounded to see the crate first land on the roof, and then tumble off, onto the stairs, and then through the ground into the abyss.
To add salt to their wounds, their bounty had moved to a two-bar threat, with a presumably kitted-out aggressive squad on the hunt to send them packing back to the loading screen.
The team was visibly stunned, and the player himself took to Reddit to explain their frustration by saying, "Unfortunately Xbox doesn’t pick up voice comms when I record… Just know there was a lot of swearing."
Another user said this was a familiar sight, after the same thing happened to them. "Kapowpow" said, "That’s happened to me in that exact spot. Just up the staircase on the flat area, right next to the building."
It's not the first time stairs and buildings have hidden game-breaking passageways. Just as Verdansk 1984 came into the rotation, the map was riddled with glitches that allowed players under buildings and to break their way into the gulag.
With a new Warzone map pending, hopefully an extensive run prior to launch will allow the developers to iron out any of these problems.
