Every new Fortnite season is filled with new surprises. Chapter 2 - Season 4 is no different. Along with the Marvel-themed Battle Pass, Season 4 brings new challenges, POIs, and of course, weapons.

Chapter 2 - Season 4's newest weapon is the Stark Industries Energy Rifle. This rifle was designed by the Iron Man, Tony Stark himself. As one may expect, this weapon isn't your standard weapon. It behaves in a way we've never seen before, and it can only be found through a couple of specific methods.

Let's run through how this new weapon works, where to find it, and the best strategies to getting your hands on one.

Stark Industries Energy Rifle

The Stark Industries Energy Rifle is one of the new weapons available in Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 4. The Energy Rifle comes in Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities and behaves similarly to an Infantry Rifle. It is a single-shot, precision rifle with a low rate of fire and high damage output. Just like the Infantry Rifle, it has no scope attached.

The Stark Industries Energy Rifle is unique all around. The weapon basically turns into a completely different gun while aiming down sights. The weapon deals significantly more damage at the expense of the fire rate. While hip-firing, the Energy Rifle's rate of fire is doubled, allowing players to spray-and-pray. The Stark Industries Energy Rifle uses Medium Ammo.

Most notably of all, the Energy Rifle can not be found as ground loot, in chests, or any of the traditional places loot spawns. There are only two possible avenues for obtaining this Marvel-themed weapon.

Finding the Rare Stark Industries Energy Rifle

The Rare variant of the Stark Industries Energy Rifle is accessed separately from the Epic and Legendary variants.

The Rare version of the rifle is dropped by Stark Robots. Stark Robots are Chapter 2 - Season 4's version of Henchmen/Marauders. These AI enemies defend Quinjet Patrol Sites.

Quinjets are futuristic jets that soar by the Battle Bus at the beginning of the match. These Quinjets land at a random location on the map and emit a cloud of blue smoke. Also, opening the map will show a jet icon on each Quinjet Patrol Site.

Each site is guarded by Stark Robots armed with Stark Industries Energy Rifles. Tony Stark has lost control of his technology, meaning these robots will attack on sight. Be prepared to take on a large group of them at once.

Upon death, Stark Robots will drop a Rare variant of the Energy Rifle. If you're a challenger hunter, pick up the rifle and proceed to eliminate the remaining robots with it. Once they are all gone, open the S.H.I.E.L.D chest inside of the Quinjet. Follow these steps to progress through three different challenges all at once.

Finding the Epic and Legendary Stark Industries Energy Rifles

The Epic and Legendary Energy Rifles are a little more difficult to find. The Rare variant is a guaranteed drop off of Stark Robots, but the Epic and Legendary versions will require a bit of luck.

Players will notice that Stark Supply Drones cruising around the Quinjet Patrol Sites. These flying boxes contain the REAL loot. Shooting one open has a chance to unveil either an Epic or Legendary Energy Rifle. If it’s your lucky day, it may even come with one of the new Mythic items.

If luck isn’t on your side, there is one more guaranteed way to acquire an Epic or Legendary variant. Pick up a Rare variant off of the corpse of a Stark Robot. From there, take the Energy Rifle to any Upgrade Bench. Players can upgrade the Rare variant to Epic for 150 Wood, Stone, and Metal. The Legendary variant will then cost you 200 more of each.

And of course, there is always the chance you’ll find one of these Energy Rifles after eliminating another enemy player.

A Few Final Tips

Just because you know where the Stark Industries Energy Rifle spawns doesn’t mean obtaining it will be easy. Enemy players make getting your hands on one of these rifles extremely difficult.

First off, there are already three challenges surrounding the Quinjet Patrol Sites. Everyone looking to level up their Battle Pass and unlock all of the cool, new Marvel skins will be dropping on these sites. Also, Quinjet Patrol Sites are the only place to find Energy Rifles and the new Mythic items. It’s a classic case of supply and demand.

Always be on your toes. Shooting loudly toward Stark Robots is a sure-fire way to attract the attention of enemy players. The same goes for shooting down the Stark Supply Drones. Don’t get caught with your guard down.

Alternatively, consider landing elsewhere and rotating to a Quinjet Patrol Site late. By then, most players will be eliminated, and you can clean up the scraps. You’ll likely be fully shielded going against weakened players with little ammo and material. Also, there will surely be some Energy Rifles already lying around.

Take note of these tips, and your squad will be the ones walking away with this Chapter 2 - Season 4 exclusive weapon.
