Currently ranked forty-one in the world Renegades usually doesn't come up with the best match results. Despite that, they're still considered a threat in the Oceania region ranked second right behind 100 Thieves. Over the past six months, Renegades have dominated the B-Tier scene with a 100% win rate. That includes six online events and a qualifier for the Asia Minor Championship - Rio 2020: Oceanic division. Within all of 2020, the team has earned roughly eighty-four thousand dollars in earnings. Compared to most teams that's not considered a lot of money.

They're still a strong team working their way up the ladder. Besides event earnings, they also receive merchandise and sponsorship payments to help fund their organisation, even though their first-place finishes have been extremely impressive. Placing second behind BIG in Dreamhack Open Leipzig 2020 earned the group twenty grand. This is currently their highest-earning event of 2020.

In the playoffs, they beat out Mad Lions. A European team founded three years ago that has already reached six hundred thousand in prize money. Renegades are hoping to continue their winning streak and take home the twelve grand reward at the ESL Pro League: Oceania division. They were able to beat the Chiefs who also lost to Avant Gaming in the lower bracket. Now Renegades has to face ORDER which is Hatz's former team of two years. Now on the Renegades main roster, Hatz has admitted to facing a lot more pressure being with a bigger organisation.

STAFF ISSUES WITHIN RENEGADES

The turnaround success for Renegades has been surprising. Especially since former staff members admitted to the team owner Jonas Jerebko being the reason why they left. This included poor management and poor player treatment. Jerebko followed up with the announcement of new and improved management, which still doesn't seem to be helping. Right now the org is more dependent on their players than ever before. If they keep things up a six-figure year is ahead of them. Last year Renegades brought in two hundred grand from their events. With only three months left in the year, it doesn't look like they'll match previous income. That doesn't mean their fans should ignore a strong finish. People love an underdog, especially when it comes to esports.

It looks like the team has backed off from S-Tier events to spend more time within their region. 100 Thieves is the next in line to take on some of the top North American and European teams. Renegades should look at this as a chance to destroy the Australian division. Dominate while they can and receive a good amount of earnings at the highest events. Renegades have lost interest from fans due to their lower-ranking, but they've spent all of this year trying to change that. Being one of the best in Australian CS:GO is a big deal. For growth, it's ideal to expand from what you do best in. For example, some people believe that Renegades are getting too comfortable playing in the Oceania scene. Others show delight in seeing their favourite team crush it in Australia.

Renegades fanbase has been very active over the past couple of weeks. Recently they’ve found success in the ESL Pro League with a place in the seventh grand finals. A chance to bag another win and show off to the world. The team probably feels that they have lots to prove. After all, they haven’t found success since January of 2019, which is when they landed an A-Tier first-place finish at the Asia Minor Championships in Katowice. Ever since they dropped to B-Tier matches, they’ve shown strong traits of teamwork, gun skill, and game sense. With the most recent matchup against ORDER, a lot of highlights were shared.

WHAT MAKES THEIR PLAY STYLE SO UNIQUE?

After winning map one on Nuke, Renegades went into a loss on pistol round. Five rounds later the group found their first win. Due to an early force buy they were left needing some eco fillers. Now, this is where things get interesting. Renegades was able to secure another eight rounds on T side. Once they mess up, it never happens again. You won’t see old tactics from these guys in the upcoming months. Even though the following map nuke was picked by ORDER, they got swept up, losing to Renegades by ten rounds. When it comes to receiving pressure within overtime or wrapping up a clean sweep, Renegades just outperform their opposing team.

The stretch of skill over the past couple of months has been refreshing. Being their performance usually lacks. Now that they’ve come across a better roster and organised staff. The team is bound to dominate CS:GO once again if that’s in the lower or higher tiers. Renegades has shown a great work ethic that other teams could learn from. It’s not every day when a lower level team gets revived in their industry known as esports.
