Call of Duty: Warzone’s history with bugs and hacks has been long and arduous. Ever since the game launched, cheaters have been worming their way into the battle royale title with everything from clipping inside walls to stim glitches. Now, the problem has grown so exponentially and belligerently that there’s no real way to stop it.

Warzone seems to be past the point of no return when it comes to cheaters, and though Raven Software can try to strip the hackers away with frequent ban-waves and promises of anti-cheat measures as special features, they’ll always come back - much, much stronger.

Sadly, it’s a problem that has plagued the iconography of the game, with one of its very worst bugs returning.

Warzone’s Invincibility Glitch Is Back

A glitch that frustrated Warzone fans to no end is the invincibility glitch, which does exactly what it says on the tin - it makes players entirely invulnerable to incoming gunfire, giving them a remarkably unfair advantage. And, after we thought it was dead and buried, it’s made a comeback.

As revealed in a new video on the CODWarzone subreddit by NuttyMcCrunch, players are getting back into the game with their invincibility. The video shows a gang of players flaunting their invulnerability by choosing not to shoot enemies, but instead, run through their bullets and melee enemies until they fall. It’d make for a funny Benny Hill sketch if it weren’t literally ruining players’ games.

The video also shows later on in the game, where the gang of invincible players do exactly the same thing to another player - so they’re making a habit of being bold and dominating lobbies effortlessly.

It’s a shame that the game is still under the thumb of hackers, so it's no surprise fans are not happy about it.

Fans React To The Returning Invincibility Glitch

As you can imagine, fans in the comments of the video aren’t exactly on the hackers’ side. “Just imagine the scope these hacks could be at”, ponders one fan. “Imagine one day we see hackers spawn IAVs in Verdansk or some s**t”.

Another player recognises the video, claiming that they’d experienced something similar earlier. “So this is what happened to me today!” they say. “I was in a building and I see a car pull up, guy with a stick and riot shield comes charging in and stuns me knowing my exact position and then sticks me with a thermite and beats me to death.” Ouch.

It’s clear that fans aren’t happy about this, and they certainly weren’t happy the first time this glitch appeared either. Raven Software has a lot of work to do to bury this glitch again for good - and we hope it can come through.
