Call Of Duty Hackers Invading Warzone With Zombies
The dead are invading the Call of Duty: Warzone map, and no, it's not an early tease for the next Haunting of Verdansk. As Activision moves forward with Black Ops Cold War Year Two, we're hoping for more integration with Warzone and more gnashing jaws of the undead in some much-needed Zombies updates.
Despite Warzone being the jewel in the CoD crown, it's become a running joke that hackers rule supreme here. From glitching under the prison to glitching into the Gulag, clipping through walls to hackers actually using hacks to accuse pro players of hacking (are you keeping up) - we've seen it all. As hacking continues to run rife, the latest trend is to invade the map with unreleased Zombies skins.
How are Warzone hackers invading the map with zombies?
Imagine if Fortnite's Ariana Grande skin was ripped from the back end and set out onto the map before her live concert. Hackers are a problem in any online multiplayer, but as Warzone's popularity continues, Raven Software is in danger of losing its already shaky grip.
One player shared his experience of Dark Aether skins casually strolling around Verdansk '84 like we're in the middle of the spooky season. Pro player Repullze was shocked to find these skins in-game but not in the shop.
During an August 2 stream, a clearly confused Repullze unleashed a foul-mouthed rant where he said he was going to "f**k" hacker "iUnlockStuff". In the clip, the hacker has cheats in play, but to be honest, we were distracted by the purple glow of their unreleased weapon camo.
Are there more zombies hackers in Call of Duty: Warzone?
If Repullze running across a Zombies-clad hacker wasn't enough, CoD favourite JGOD shared the Twitch footage of the crafty hacker flaunting a Zombies camo and asked, "Cheaters Managed to get Zombies Camos in the Game before the Devs?" Other players were equally peeved, with someone adding, "Waiting for that Season 5 patch supplied by the cheaters rather than Raven at this point".
While we've got to admit the Zombies camos look great in Warzone, remember that they aren't out yet. It might be tempting to download a cheat and dress in your best purple haze, but as Repullze's Twitch clip shows, it's likely to get you reported. Namely, all of the above led to the usual arguments about a lack of anti-cheat.
Still, there's a question about when it won't just be hackers dressed in Zombies skins for Warzone. Activision has promised that the fan-favourite mode will have its cosmetics added to the battle royale bloodbath, but as we near the one-year anniversary of Black Ops Cold War, there's still no sign of those mythical Plague Diamond wraps.
