If it ain't broke, don't fix it. However, in the case of Raven Software with Call of Duty: Warzone, it seems to be, if it is broke, still don't fix it. While the Call of Duty franchise has seen a massive resurgence during 2020 and 2021, that doesn't mean it's been all smooth sailing for Activision's shooter series.

Looking back at last year, who'd have thought Call of Duty: Warzone would've made such an impact? Launching in March 2021, the battle royale bruiser pushed the competition out of the market and made the publisher a small fortune.

We've been through two iterations of Verdansk - with a third on the way - but for many, Warzone is on the cusp of crumbling under its own weight. Namely, cheaters are ravaging the game and leading to some major names leaving Warzone forever. The latest hack won't help the mass exodus.

What is the latest Warzone cheat?

Aside from a last chance saloon in the form of the Gulag or being revived, being downed in Warzone is normally the end journey - well, for one match anyway. Usually, downed opponents should stay there and are easy to pick off. That's not the case in the latest Warzone hack.

As shared on TikTok by @mrblueblrd, the latest hack running rife allows downed players to keep moving. We'd suggest you mute this one, but in the video, one plucky player is seen chasing a downed rival that just keeps on going. Despite being stuck to the floor, the "dead" opponent zips around the arena like Speedy Gonzales.

Speed hacks are the latest craze in Warzone, which seem to be replacing popular ones like clipping inside walls and making yourself invisible for that perfect sniper's shot. There's something unnerving about seeing these inanimate corpses fly across Verdansk to evade your shots. As @myblueburd shows, they were too busy trying to take out the cheater to notice that they were about to be downed themselves.

What's going on with cheaters in Warzone?

While we've known Warzone has had a cheating problem for a while, things are at an epidemic level. Big names like Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff, Timothy "TimTheTatman", and Jack "CouRage" Dunlop have all quit Warzone and turned tail for Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends. It's a similar situation to when everyone abandoned Fortnite for Warzone, but arguably, this is much worse.

With Call of Duty: Vanguard just over the horizon, Sledgehammer Games has promised a whole new anti-cheat. Is it a case of too little too late, though? In the past week alone, there was the bizarre situation where Raven promised it had banned over 100,000 accounts, with one such cheater showing he was hardware banned. Just days later, he was back in Warzone and up to his old tricks.

OpTic Gaming's Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez claims Activision simply makes too much money off Warzone to even care anymore. Then again, if we keep losing pros like NICKMERCS, there won't be anyone left to promote the game. We've said it time and again, but for Call of Duty: Warzone, the release of Vanguard could really be a turning point. We aren't devs, but just give us a proper anti-cheat, seriously, how hard can it be?
