Warzone Players Slam New Vanguard Operator
Arthur Kingsley - one of the protagonists of the upcoming Call of Duty: Vanguard - has finally made his appearance in Warzone. With his arrival comes the excitement for what’s on the way from the big CoD crossover.
Vanguard is bringing a lot of new content to Warzone. Kingsley is thought to be the first of many new additions before the new map and anti-cheat begin to roll out. However, some fans are deeply unhappy with Kingsley’s arrival - as his design is severely downgraded for Warzone.
Fans Furious Over Kingsley’s Design Downgrade
Fans have noticed that Kingsley’s design and presentation have taken a very serious hit over the course of his various appearances since he was a part of Vanguard’s announcement. One Reddit post has especially riled fans up, showing his initial announcement, then his appearance in some Vanguard promotional material, then finally, his cosmetic appearance in Warzone.
There’s a clear visual downgrade, which is fair to a degree, given that not every moment of every game will look as good as all of its flashy promos. Still, Kingsley is not looking great in Warzone, either way.
Fans React To Kingsley’s Visual Downgrade
Fans have shared their (rather unforgiving) thoughts on Kingsley’s Warzone appearance in the comments on ismovan’s post in the CODWarzone subreddit. “He got RavenSoftware’d”, says one user - as a lot of problems stem from the fact that Kingsley’s model in Black Ops Cold War looks much better, and that models often have trouble migrating from Cold War to Warzone.
“To be fair, it’s his Cold War model and Cold War models tend to look bad in Warzone”, says another commenter. “Just look at Woods CW and Price 84 compared to Woods MW and Price MW”. That's all well and good, but it’s still a shame for the character to take a visual hit in Warzone.
Kingsley's arrival was meant to herald a big change in the game and manufacture a lot of hype, but instead, it’s come off as incredibly underwhelming.
Here’s hoping that the upcoming changes to Warzone make Kingsley look a little better - after all, it could damage Sledgehammer’s intentions of the character's legacy. Frankly, we reckon the devs have got enough on their plate already.
